One year had passed since Billie returned and delivered the message Maria had sent through the sword. After finding out that Faul was under Alfred’s care, Billie decided to continue his journey with the escorting cavalry until the time came for the great war against the Red Death.

In that time, Billie had grown significantly stronger. By the age of twenty, he had surpassed the magical limits once thought to bind his bloodline. His family was already renowned for holding more magical power than the average sorcerer, but Billie had shattered expectations. At twenty, he had broken through the magical barrier and was now wielding six distinct magic abilities. His swordsmanship, too, had evolved beyond recognition. Among both the older and younger generations of warriors, Billie stood at the top—his blade swift, precise, and deadly.

He had become the best swordsman within his escorting cavalry, earning the respect and admiration of all around him. Other escort units, who usually loved to fight over escort jobs for merchants and nobles, no longer dared to compete when they heard that Billie’s team was involved.

By the age of twenty-one, after a reunion with Faul that reignited his drive, Billie took a bold step forward. He formed his own elite escort unit, naming it the **Red Dragon Escort Cavalry**. Though the group had only been active for a few months, their name had already spread far and wide. Bandits feared it. Merchants sought it. Billie had become a symbol of security and power, the kind of protector every caravan wanted. His team was composed mostly of his Karazan brothers, men he trusted with his life.

Meanwhile, Faul had also been growing rapidly—both in strength and stature. Though only eleven years old, he had developed faster than his peers in every way. His physique, his magical power, and even his presence were far beyond what anyone expected from a boy his age.

“Anna, your boyfriend is growing more handsome by the day. I’m honestly jealous of you,” teased Amy, one of Anna’s closest friends.

“Amy! He’s not my boyfriend!” Anna blurted out, her face flushing red as she tried to hide her embarrassment.

Amy giggled. “Anna, you’re blushing. You like him, don’t you?”

“Amy, don’t say that!” Anna's voice cracked as her cheeks grew even redder.

“I’ll go talk to him for you. Honestly, you know he likes you too,” Amy said with a teasing grin as she started walking toward the training field where Faul and Phil were sparring with the others.

“Amy, wait!” Anna called out quickly. “I can do that myself… when it’s the right time. Don’t distract him.”

“You know that fake angry face doesn’t work on me anymore,” Amy replied with a smirk as they both laughed.

Their path was suddenly blocked by a girl standing tall with her arms folded and an unimpressed expression on her face.

“Hey, lover girl,” Lucia sneered.

Anna sighed, her mood turning sour. “Lucia, please, I don’t have time for your bickering. I have something to do,” she said, trying to stay calm, though irritation sparked within her.

Lucia, however, had no intention of letting her go so easily.

“I need to make something clear to you, Anna,” Lucia said with a proud tilt of her head. “Faul is mine. Take your eyes off him. Your father may run this camp, but my father is the Queen’s brother.”

Her voice was full of contempt, as if her status gave her ownership over others.

“What’s going on, ladies?” a boy said as he approached with a few friends trailing behind him. It was Leo—Lucia’s cousin.

“Uh, Leo, help me out here. Tell this wench to stay away from my Faul,” Lucia said, feigning distress as she put on a pitiful look.

“Faul?” Leo raised an eyebrow. “Who is Faul, that he’s caught the attention of my cute cousin?”

“Uh, Leo,” whispered Harry, one of his friends. “You don’t want to mess with that guy. He’s a beast.”

Leo smirked. “What my little cousin wants, she gets. You hear that?” he said, turning his gaze toward Anna with arrogance radiating from him.

“Do your worst,” Anna replied defiantly and walked past him.

“Hold it right there! How dare you walk out on me?!” Leo shouted, furious. He raised his hand to strike Anna, but before his hand could land, Amy jumped in between them—and the slap landed hard across her cheek instead.

The sound echoed across the training field.

Amy staggered, holding her face. Leo’s anger flared. Lucia, however, smiled in satisfaction.

**“Finally, this wench got smacked,”** she thought smugly.

Leo, fueled by misplaced pride and fury, pushed Amy aside and once again raised his hand, this time toward Anna.

“If you dare, I will chop off those two hands of yours,” a voice said calmly.

The voice belonged to Faul. He stood just a few feet away, his presence suddenly immense. His eyes glowed faintly, and a dangerous aura seeped from his body, causing Leo to freeze momentarily.

Leo blinked. “W-What was that? What kind of aura…?” he thought, stunned. “He’s younger than me. Why does he feel so powerful?”

Regaining his composure, Leo stepped forward, raising his own aura in an attempt to match Faul’s.

“And who are you?” he asked, trying to sound unbothered.

Lucia grinned and said, “Leo, he’s the boy I told you about.”

“Oh, I see. Then tell him to mind his own business, or I won’t take it lightly,” Leo replied as he turned back toward Anna—only to find Faul now standing directly in his path.

“I said,” Faul repeated, his voice low and calm, “if you touch her, I’ll chop off those hands of yours.”

Leo scoffed. “Oh, lover boy… she’s your little girlfriend, huh? Well, I guess I’ll just have to teach both of you a lesson.”

Faul didn’t flinch. His gaze remained steady, but the pressure from his aura only increased. Even without hostility in his voice, the threat was unmistakable.

Phil, who had been watching from the side, slowly moved closer, just in case things got worse.

The crowd around them held its breath.

As Faul left the scene with Anna, Amy, and Phil, the entire area fell into complete silence. Everyone was still trying to process what had just happened—how Faul had managed to defeat five people within seconds. “Did you see how he moved? Or what kind of magic he used?” one trainee asked in disbelief. “He only used magic when he zapped Leo,” another replied, still stunned. “The rest he beat down with his fists... just his fists.” “That Faul is a monster,” someone muttered under their breath. “We need to be careful around him.” The murmurs continued as the unconscious boys were carried off to the camp physician for urgent care. Nobody could quite comprehend how a boy younger than most of them had moved so fast, so precisely, and so powerfully. Meanwhile, a dark cloud loomed over Faul’s heart. “Humans are starting to get on my nerves,” Faul said, his voice low and heavy with emotion. “I might end up doing something I don’t want to... I wish my mother was here.” “Faul…” Anna calle

  • Faul: The Reincarnation   Chapter 16: The Emergence of the Guardian

In the land of Kaar, two distinct factions held sway over the ancient and mysterious world: the knights and the mages. Knights were warriors, skilled in the arts of battle and forged through steel and blood. Mages, on the other hand, were masters of magic, their power stemming from ancient sorcery passed down through generations. It was said that those born with the potential to harness both knighthood and sorcery were destined for greatness. These rare individuals, known as Guardians, were unstoppable in war. With both the strength of a knight and the power of a mage, they could clear entire cities single-handedly. The world had seen them only once or twice in its long history, and their presence was as feared as it was revered. For centuries, Kaar had been waiting for the return of the Guardians. It was foretold that one day, a "sun shall rise from a fallen city," but this could only occur when the city had already crumbled, and the world had descended into chaos. The prophecy had

"Hey, Gag! Take me along!” Little Braf (Faul) shouted, his voice full of youthful enthusiasm. Gag glanced back at his younger brother with a soft smile, but his eyes were filled with concern. "Oh, little Braf, you can’t fly for long, and I don’t have enough strength to carry your weight," he replied gently. Braf frowned, his small form standing on the edge of a cliff. "I can still try! I’m not that small!" he protested, his arms outstretched as if to prove his point. Gag sighed and placed a hand on Braf’s head, ruffling his hair affectionately. “Baby brother, just stay behind. I’ll get you the flowers from the garden when I return,” Gag said, his voice carrying a mix of affection and a quiet, hidden sorrow. As Gag spread his wings and lifted into the air, he thought to himself, *Little Braf, you might look so innocent now, but you could become a problem for me in the future. I just hope we’ll be on the same side when the time comes.* With a heavy heart, Gag soared into the sky, hi

The time for the talent selection was rapidly approaching, and the young talents of the city were all busy preparing, training tirelessly for the big day. Their minds were filled with thoughts of the selection, anxious to prove themselves worthy and be chosen. But there was one who was not worried about being selected—Faul. While others fretted about their chances, Faul remained focused on a singular goal: to grow stronger. He was not concerned with the selection. His heart and mind were consumed with the thought of finding his mother. He couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong, that she was out there, and he was determined to rescue her. "I wonder if my mother is still alive. I will find her. I will save her," Faul thought to himself, clenching his fist as he punched a large tree beside him, creating a deep dent in its trunk. His frustration was palpable. "If only I wasn't reincarnated in this weak human body," he hissed under his breath, his frustration growing as he s

Only a few people knew what they had set out to do before their disappearance, but the silence surrounding their fate was becoming unbearable for their families. Tensions were rising, and questions remained unanswered. "Ragnik, your son knows the whereabouts of my son. Why isn’t he saying anything?" George’s voice was filled with frustration and growing anger. Ragnik, sitting calmly across from him, studied George carefully. "George, calm down. My son is just a boy. He will surely tell me where he last saw your son." But George’s eyes were filled with worry and suspicion as he turned his gaze toward Ragnik’s son, Harry, who sat nervously in the corner of the room, avoiding eye contact. George was not easily appeased. His son was missing, and something about the whole situation felt off. "Harry, I am your father. Tell me what happened to Leo and the others," Ragnik asked, his tone calm but firm. His gaze

The days leading up to the talent selection passed without much event, as all the young individuals prepared for the approaching test of their skills. Faul, as usual, remained indifferent, showing little concern for the upcoming event. His focus was elsewhere, as he was still preoccupied with his own journey, one that was far more personal than the selection. "Faul, the talent selection is tomorrow. I hope you know that?" Phil asked, his voice tinged with concern as he stared at his friend's emotionless expression. "Yeah, I know. Is there any problem with that?" Faul replied nonchalantly, his tone carrying the same indifference that had characterized him for as long as Phil had known him. "You’ve been acting like none of this matters to you," Phil continued, the worry in his voice growing. "I know you're strong, but don’t you realize we’ll be facing the Silver Knights? They’re no joke." Faul's face remained expressionless as he glanced at Phil, his eyes calm. "I told you, Phil.

"Everyone, get ready and head down to the training fields! The selectors are here," Alfred called out, his voice carrying across the group of kids anxiously awaiting the start of the talent selection. "And behave yourselves. Put on your best attitude and fight well to qualify." Faul, as usual, stood off to the side, seemingly unaffected by the tension in the air. He was calm, even though the weight of the day’s events hung heavy in the hearts of many. Phil, his best friend, approached him, wrapping his arms around Faul’s neck in a playful manner. "Hey, Faul. How are you feeling about today?" Phil asked, a hint of nervousness creeping into his voice. Faul paused for a moment, considering the question. "I’m feeling good, but something doesn’t feel right today," he replied, his tone thoughtful yet cryptic. Phil furrowed his brow, wondering what Faul meant by that. "Uh... What do you mean by that? Because you’re starting to get me scared," he admitted, a flicker of anxiety crossing

The moment they shared was still fresh in his mind, and the joy of it all filled him with a sense of warmth. He felt like everything in his life was falling into place. But just as he was enjoying the moment, an unfamiliar voice interrupted his thoughts, breaking the calm that had settled over Faul and Anna. "Hey, you must be Faul?" the voice called out, cutting through the tension in the air. "Yeah, he is. Any issue with that?" Anna replied sharply, her frustration clear. She had been enjoying her time with Faul, but this interruption was not welcome. The young man before them sneered, his eyes scanning Anna with a look of disdain. "Oh... You must be his little girlfriend," he said, his tone laced with scorn. Faul’s gaze hardened as he turned to face the stranger. His voice was cold and detached as he responded, "And you are?" The young man chuckled,

  • You are my master?

Faul was utterly surprised by what Yin and Yang said, but he just couldn't believe it. "What did you say?" Faul tightened his grip around Yin and Yang's neck. "I... said... my... master... is... the greatest dragon that ever lived, Braf," Yin and Yang forced himself to say while being choked. Faul dropped him to the ground, standing still for a few minutes before he opened his hands towards the thick smoke, and it spread far and wide, growing even thicker. "Why is he acting like this? No one should know my master around here, right?" Yin and Yang thought before he found himself being lifted off the ground. "You are coming with me." Faul didn't give Yin and Yang any choice and lifted him off the ground before taking flight from the area, heading deep into the mountains. Others didn't know what was going on between the two who were fighting earlier, as they no longer heard any fighting going on between them. Phil knew that Faul had left with Yin and Yang because he could no longer

  • Yin And Yang

Faul carried Phil back to the camp at a fast pace, with the other two tagging along behind him. The journey was a quiet one. Faul felt depressed—if he had arrived any later, his friends might have been dead. Meanwhile, the others worried that maybe Faul was angry with them for being too weak. He had simply picked up Phil and left without saying a word. Faul was never someone who knew how to express himself—except with his sword when he was pissed off. They snuck into the camp through the back and found that everyone was fast asleep. Faul laid Phil down in his corner and then went to his own spot without saying anything to the others. They were all worried—wondering if their long-standing friendship might break apart in a single night. “What were they even doing in the woods at that time?” “Were they following me?” Faul had a lot on his mind and couldn’t sleep all night. The following morning, they were awakened by the clang of a metal pot. Faul noticed the two had bags under thei

  • Instant Kill

Faul sneaked out of the camp through the back of the tent and went into the woods to hunt for food, as recently, eating normal human food no longer quenched his hunger. Unbeknownst to him, Phil opened his eyes and followed closely behind. He was quietly tailing Faul, not caring if anyone saw him leaving the camp. Of course, he was seen by both Ralph and Harry, who also sneaked out of the camp, following the two into the woods. "What do you think these two are going into the woods to do at this time of night?" Ralph couldn’t help but wonder as they continued to follow the two. "That, I don’t know. We’ll just keep following them quietly and find out soon enough," Harry replied, walking cautiously as they trailed behind Phil, who strolled leisurely through the woods. They still found it hard to believe what Faul had told them earlier about being a reincarnated dragon. Although he had shown them his true form by entering their minds, it all still felt like just a dream. They continued

  • Hunting Game

Faul went ahead to tell them who he was, and how he was reincarnated into this world. He also explained what Phil had become and what he could be. Then, he told them about his mission and revealed the true culprit behind the Red Death. He finally asked if they would fight alongside him to end it. After spending hours within their minds, the two teenagers couldn't help but pledge allegiance to Faul, vowing to become his blood brothers and fight with him. When they returned from wherever their minds had taken them, they discovered that the hours they spent inside had only been a few minutes in the real world. They were still lying on their beds. They closed their eyes and drifted to sleep, praying for a good start to the next day — the beginning of the hunting game. The entire Silver Knight class at the Alora Knight Academy was preparing for the upcoming hunting game, scheduled to take place in a week. Before the game, the knights had to be assessed in various areas to determine how

  • Demonic Angel

From day to day, Phil never left Faul’s side, which had already started to bug Faul himself. He didn’t want others to think Phil had lost his mind. Even though Faul didn’t want to believe the stories about a wyvern, he decided to test things out with Phil—to know if it was true and whether Phil had become one. On a fateful day, Faul took Phil into the training quarters to clarify his doubts. “Are we here to train? Because I’d like to test my strength against you,” Phil asked excitedly. “Phil, you will test it out. But right now, I need to clarify something.” Faul sat down cross-legged, looking directly at Phil, who stood there cluelessly. “Can you fight for me, Phil? How much will you risk to protect me?” That question triggered something in Phil, and he knelt on one knee. “Yes! I can fight for you, whenever and wherever. I will risk my life and everything I have to protect you, master!” Phil bowed before Faul, showing his allegiance. The answer wasn’t much of a surprise to Fau

  • Phil's New Strength

Some die-hard fans of the fight knew almost every contestant far beyond the arena, as they kept a close tab on people who might one day join. But no one knew who the new contestant was. His name was simply unknown. Even Faul and the other two wondered why Phil chose such a name. "The Battalion Demolisher? That name is too powerful for someone like Phil. Just the name alone will only get him into more trouble," Harry said, unable to help the pity he felt for his dear friend who seemed ready to lose his life trying to prove nothing. Every day, the arena hosted a maximum of three fights to entertain the people—and to make lots of money, as many would bet on who would win or lose. Today, many had placed their bets based on the odds and the strength of the fighters. Phil's odds were the highest anyone had ever seen since the arena’s inception. Phil had ten-to-two odds of winning. This made many people laugh at the new “Battalion Demolisher,” and no one placed a single bet on him.

During those past weeks, they had been on a silent break, with Phil being the only mediator since he had no issue with anyone. However, Harry and Ralph no longer talked to Faul. They knew he was hiding something and had expected him to open up, but he never did. Eventually, they decided to let it go. They concluded that they would give Faul space and just hoped he would tell them everything when the time was right. But over the past few weeks, Harry and Ralph noticed some changes in Phil. His slight change in appearance, his sudden confidence—it made them worry. They feared he might have been infected during the attack in the woods. Faul, however, knew exactly what was happening.
