Henry is visibly confused on what is now transpiring around him. He was just killed in a fierce battle with a terrorist organization, and now he is floating in mid air in the nude along with four other people.
"Our apologies for what might be a confusing scenario for you all. My name is Zhitarine, Goddess of light. We have plucked the five of you from the dead to become the champions of our world, Marracord."
One of the seven Gigantic humanoids, as tall as a fifteen story building, said as it introduced itself as the Goddess Zhitarine. She is at the center of the seven gathered Gods, and she can be described as a giant beautiful woman wearing a flowing pure white one piece dress with a plunging neck line that goes all the way down the bottom of her navel barely covering her ample chest. A golden belt hugs her hips to keep the dress in place. And floating behind her head is a golden halo that looks like an image of the sun that gives her visage an even more divine presence.
"May I ask a question?"
The woman to the right of Henry suddenly asked the Gods a question. Including Henry, there are three men and two women that have been summoned, and the woman that asked the question is named Melva Burns, a Texan born twenty seven year old navy seal. She is a tall and rugged beauty with short blonde hair. She is clearly around six feet tall since she towers over Henry's five feet ten inch height.
Zhitarine: "Go ahead, Melva. You may ask your question."
Zhitarine replied to the mortal before her.
Melva: "How exactly are we suppose to save your world from this demonic kingdom you're talking about? Are you going to make us leaders of a military force or something. Or are you just expecting all us five here to join up like some kind of power rangers task force."
Melva asked in a less that respectful way that Henry found so funny, he almost laughed out loud. This made some of the Gods frown, yet Zhitarine maintained her warm smile as the divine being that she is replied.
Zhitarine: "That is a good question, Melva. Here is the situation so far. According to Fabizaph, The God of Time, come sixteen years to this day the demonic kingdom will obtain the power to travel through dimensions, and with said power, will try to obtain various weapons to conquer multiple dimensions"
Zhitarine answered as she also pointed out the giant bipedal turtle like God second to her right named Fabizaph who is also holding a large crystal ball on his right hand.
Zhitarine: "To prevent this catastrophe from taking place, we will let you chose which Gods each of you would like to represent. The God you will represent will then grant you their divine powers and the knowledge on how to use them in both combat and every day life once you have been reborn to your new bodies. Of course, you will still retain the memories you have of your old world to give you an edge in our world."
Zhitarine continued to explain.
"I'm sorry, but you're going to reincarnate us in the bodies of new born children? can't you just reincarnate us in our past bodies like in the isekai novels?"
The man second to Henry's right asked without prompting, cutting off the Goddess' explanation. This man is Victor Fukuda, an American Japanese serving under the U.S. Marines, stationed in Okinawa. He is thirty eight years old, six feet two inches in height, and a closeted Otaku.
Zhitarine: "That would be impossible, I'm afraid. Due to the Multiversal rules that governs all celestial beings, we cannot construct a body out of thin air in any universe. The only thing we Gods can do is put your souls in a new born that has yet to receive one."
Zhitarine answered Victor with a sad expression on her face. Victor was also equally, if not even more sad.
"E-excuse me. If we are going to be reborn, have you already picked what family we will be born in? Are they influential families in your world?"
The woman to Henry's left asked bashfully. Her name is Silvia Lacroix, a French born female police officer stationed in Paris. She is five feet, six inches tall with long reddish brown hair.
Zhitarine: "That's a good question as well, Silvia. Yes, to make sure that you will get the most help not just from each other, but from the people around you, you will all be reborn under nobilities and influential families. You will have the power and influence to shape this world for the better."
The Goddess said with a beaming smile.
"So, the only thing we really need to do is choose the God we will represent and everything else will be taken care of. And while we hone our skills and powers, we will have all sixteen years to plan our counter measure to stop the demons from obtaining the ability to travel through Universes, right?"
The last man at Henry's far left spoke, seemingly trying to verify the plan of the Gods. This man's name is Park, San Gyun. A South Korean tactical specialist working for the his country's military. He stands at five feet seven inches tall with black hair and bangs almost covering his eyes.
Zhitarine: "That is correct, San Gyun. We will help you with your training and give you the information you need to complete your mission via dream meet ups. A familiar of your chosen God will come to you in your dreams and train you personally as well as give you intel on your coming missions.
Zhitarine continued, keeping her immaculate smile on full display .
Henry: "With all due respect, Goddess Zhitarine, if you and your kin knew when this disaster will be taking place, why didn't you try to get some other group of champions sooner? Sixteen year old's are not really in prime physical condition to fight in a mission this dire. So why didn't you summon people ten or so years ago?"
Henry asked the Goddess in a polite tone. However, this question appeared to have soured the mood of all the Gods, including Zhitarine. Her bright smile now replaced with a some what pained expression as she breaks eye contact with the champions before her. A few more seconds passed by before an unlikely voice broke the silence and answered Henry's question.
Melva: "It's probably because they only found out about it recently, am I right?"
Melva said as she addressed every one in the white void they were in.
Zhitarine: "With a heavy heart, I would have to admit that we did only found out about the demonic kingdom's plans recently. For some unknow reason we are unable to detect their movements for the past two years, and only by looking in to the future using Fabizaph's powers of clairvoyance were we able to notice their plans. We don't even know exactly how they obtained the power of dimensional travel. The only thing we do know is that we desperately need your help."
Zhitarine said as she implored the champions for help. Her eyes holding back tears unfitting of a divine being.
San Gyun: "So, we'll be pretty much going in blind, huh? It sounds very risky."
San Gyun said. Now hesitant of the role he will play in this mission.
Silvia: "What will happen if we don't accept your mission?"
Silvia has also expressed her reluctance, asked if she can chose not to participate in their reincarnated mission.
Zhitarine: "If you choose not to participate in our request, then you will be brought back to the regular reincarnation process and will be reincarnated randomly as any living being in any random universe."
Zhitarine replied in a sad state as she explains how the universal reincarnation works. Then, as the other mull over their choses, Henry replied in a way that no one anticipated.
Henry: "Then, in that case, I'm in. There's no real reason for me not to help out, I mean I'm already dead in my old world after all. The only thing I would like is if it's possible to let me know how my sister is doing in my original world. Is that possible?"
Henry said, accepting the mission given to them by the other worldly Gods, while asking for a favor as well.
Zhitarine: "Th-thank you, Henry. If it's just that, then there is no problem, for that is with in our powers to provide. Will that be the same for all of you, our champions?"
The Goddess asked everyone in the chosen champion's side, to which everyone also agreed to. The Goddess then explained some more minor information like the name of the house hold they will be reincarnated to and the position they are in the country they are assigned to.
Zhitarine: "For miss Melva, she will be born in the Rockforth Family. Your parents will be Duke Richard and Duchess Remi Rockforth. One of the most powerful family in the Nordine kingdom, North of the Raibaran continent."
"Next is San Gyun, who will be born in the Alzar Family. Your parents will be Prime Minister Bradley and Lady Pressa Alzar. Your family has direct influence in running the whole kingdom of Nordine."
"Then, we have Silvia, who will be born in the Barbosa Family. Your parents will be Chancellors James and Laura Barbosa. Your family heads the ruling faction in Ortimac kingdom, east of the Raibaran Continent."
"Now, we have Victor, who will be born in the Melgrove Family. Your parent will be General Antonio and Lady Nancy Melgrove. Your father is the most decorated general in the kingdom of Verdant and heads the military force that protects the border of the Raibaran continent and the demonic continent.
"And last but not least, Henry. You will be born under the Shroudder Family. Your parents will be doctors Mathew and Mary Shroudder. The are the greatest doctors in the entire Raibaran continent."
Zhitarine: "Well, now that that's taken care of, time to select the Gods that you will represent."
Zhitarine said ask she open her arms wide as she present herself and the rest of the Gods.
Once Goddess Zhitarine informed the champions of the family and status where they will be born into, she then announced that they can now choose the Gods they will be representing. However, she asked the champions to first formally introduce themselves to one another to solidify their bonds. After their introductions to one another, the rest were surprised to learn that Henry is the only one that doesn't have any military, counter intelligence, or combat occupation. Rather, he is someone in the medical fields.Victor: "Wait, so you had to fight off Abu Sayyaf members all by yourself to save your medical team? How? I thought doctors were trained to do no harm?"Victor questioned, as he can't believe that a civilian could go up against train terrorist like he did.Henry: "W-well, I was taught by my older brother who was in the military when I was young. My family and I lived in Nevada when I was young where my brother was stationed. When I was twelve, he taught me how to handle pistols
In the borders of Verdant, there is a vast forested area that is home to a multitude of creatures and races. It is here where we find our selves following a small girl as she staggers with her steps. Seemingly dressed in rags, her body is battered and wounded, as a torn cloth covers the bloody stump that used to be her right hand. The young girl made her way out the forest and stumbled upon a man made road that travelers uses to make their way from the kingdom of Verdant to the multiple villages that are situated between the border of the Raibaran continent and the demonic continent. The girl is now limping along the road curtesy of a large cut on her lower leg. She heads north as she follows the road, hoping to come across a town to get herself the help she desperately needs. However, the toll of her injuries has finally caught up to her, and before she knew it, she has fainted in the middle of the road.As the little girl's body forced her to rest in the middle of the dirt road she
Selk's POV:It was such a great day for me, or at least is would have been. I was relaxing in my home located in the Outbound forest between the boarders of the Human and the Demon continents when I got a letter via a raven from the Arcamac University. It said that I was accepted as their student and would need to attend the first day of class six days from now.I've always wanted to open a chain of medical clinics in remote areas of this world, but the law says that I would have to complete four years of medical university schooling in order to open my own clinic. This is the first step to me achieving my goal of providing quality and affordable health care for those in need.I hurriedly packed everything I needed for my trip. I was about to construct a pair of dragon wings on my back, but decided against it since there are flying monsters that might try to attack me. Sure, I can beat them, but I'd rather not hurt any creature if I can avoid it. So I chose to just run all the way the
Selk's POVI decided to have Allice become my apprentice after she relayed her true feelings to me. I could see the sincerity and determination in her ruby colored eyes. Since this decision was quite impulsive, I had no choice but to go back to my original plan of flying towards our destination. So, as Allice and her Grandfather are packing a few of her belongings, I prepared our transportation.I had to look for the carriage that I lent to the guards. Since the horse I created will only listen to my orders, I told it to go with the guard for now, but if I don't handle it directly it might go on a rampage since it still has a monster's soul stone in it.Once I found the carriage near the village jail, I quickly reform it to a new creature and shape. With my mana pool, it would be easy to create a new creature to fly us to Arcamac University, but it's even easier if I just reform the things I've already created. As the villagers gawk at how I use my magic, I reform the horse and carria
In the Basilan province located in Mindanao, Philippines, a group of doctors and health workers are holding up medical check ups and treatments for the local villagers that are unable to seek medical assistance from the city. Lead by Dr. Henry Solidor, a Filipino doctor, the doctors without borders and nurses treated all manner of illnesses.Henry: "And there you go, Sabel. Be careful next time you climb a tree. I might not be here if you need to stitch up your wound."Henry said to Sabel, a local nine year old girl from the village.Sabel: "I'm so sorry mister doctor. I promise to be careful. thank you very much."said Sabel with a beaming smile on her face despite the fact that she had just had her leg sown up with eight stiches. She then gave the doctor a hug before she went on her merry way as her raven locks bounced along with her steps.Sabrina: "Well, aren't you popular with the girls here, Henry."Sabrina Marks said with a mischievous smile on her face.
