Lisa was busily whipping cream for the cake she planned to surprise Elijah with. Elijah loved chocolate cakes and Lisa made them often. Just when she raised up after checking the oven, she was dumbfound. She didn't knew Heath will come home this early.
"That's what you think, you'll sneak out under my nose and I won't know!", Heath had it enough.
The whipping got harder and harder.
"I have rights, okay and there's nothing you can do about it", Lisa replied.
"Oh, yeah. I know exactly who you met", he narrowed his eyes at her.
Lisa gave up whatever she was doing as she knew now nothing can be done. She prepared herself for what she hears everyday and on top of it, it doesn't matter any more.
"You're a slut. You hear me?... A slut!", every single word was weighed with anger.
"You mustn't be considering that".
"Come! I'd had enough!", he hauled her out in wrath.
"Stop! Where on Earth are you taking me?"
"You know where your life is taking you with all this you're doing?"
"Yeah! I know. Eternal torment, straight to hell. Let go of me!", she screamed.
The cream bowl sheered on the floor. Smearing white all around.
He dragged her to the white, sliding frame glass window. Seizing her from the neck, he stood at the brink.
"Stop resisting!", he growled in his rattly voice.
"Look how close you are to death, just one push away", his whisper sent chills to Lisa.
She became hysterical.
"Stop!... Let me go!... Please, stop... You know I'm height phobic".
She urged back, panting. She was convinced he'll throw her. Nothing good could be expected from him.
" You'll never meet that babe-magnet again! Understood? And next time, I'd rather let go".
"Understood", she replied frantically.
"Why don't you get it? You're mine and I don't share anything", he said cupping her face.
" That's an erroneous statement. I'm not some thing".
Part of her wanted to assure this guy of her love for him and the other wanted to go run in the hills.
She was leafing through a book, when he rushed in his paranoid rage, "Lisa, how could you...", he trailed off, unable to speak of it.
The sudden discovery of Elijah's truth made him mute. Not just a discovery, a real coup.
His red-rimmed and runny eyes were an allusion for the severity of the consequences. She did start to predict while living with him. But right now, she wanted the ground to open up and swallow her.
Escape. Run else he'll kill you, she thought.
Sprinting across the room, she hinged to the balcony and jumped.
The ambulance crew arrived to find zero blood pressure and oxygen in his body. He was on the edge of his life.
They tried everything but no use, nothing made a difference in his body. His body couldn't just believe what he saw. Something really shocking.
They tried more adrenaline and inserted a breathing tube but his heart refused to work. Only the sound of flat lines echoed through the operating room.
All staff started to replace equipment and took off their surgical clothes. They'd tried enough.
"I'm sorry, the shock was so svere", the doctor sighed, "He couldn't make it". Then he walked away after breaking this news to Merissa.
"This is not happening, this is surreal, this is just a terrible nightmare", Merissa babbled shaking her head, "No, this is just a nightmare. Wake up!", she started slapping herself. It was then she hated Lisa and her daughter Elijah. It was then the anticipation unleashed.
"Oh, I'm... I'm so sorry", Lisa wailed while hugging Elijah and sobbingly kissing her, "I'm so sorry. This is all my fault".
Then she sat staring at some unknown point in her slough of despond.
"Never let anyone get under your skin", she said weirdly to Elijah.
And even though Elijah didn't understand what her mommy is saying, she nodded.
"Thanks for the basket, Lydia", I said frenzily, "How come you remember I like 'em?"."What basket?", Lydia asked in confusion."Toblerone... The basket... My birthday", I tried to explain pathetically."You're psychobabbling again", she sighed, " You know sometimes I feel for ya. Was it only the grim upbringing?".I shot her a just-don't-go-there look."Gee. And sorry I couldn't make it for your birthday. I got busy with Tyler and his dudes. They arranged a bonfire. So... I hope you didn't mind and to be honest, I don't like your prude Aunt"."No, I didn't mind", I lied even though I was hating her a lot for saying that."Did you hear from Steve?""No, I don't know anything", I shrugged, trying hard not to freak when his name came up."Well, I think that freak must've left for Sheffield. Remember he always talked about changing highschool?""Yeah, he talked about it all the time"."Well, look Jason has been giving quite a shine at you, lately", she said pointing at him."So?", I prom
"Good thing they're gone. Gee, I can't even smoke with them roaming about", Jessica seemed frustrated."My parents aren't that freaky, I smoke in front of them", Lucy said."Ok, stop boasting about your goody good parents and go fetch some for me", Jessica replied. There's nobody home except for whom I came for. I tried to get myself drunk but nothing really happened, I'm not foggy enough, I'll remember all this. But I've got to get these toxic wenches out of my life. Murdering people seems like a drug now. I can't stop, no matter how much I try to distract myself. I always end up at my pursuer's house.I leaned in her room a bit more. Careful not to get caught beforehand."Where do you keep 'em, anyway?", Lucy asked."Where do ya think, my second last drawer", Jessica waved a key, "It's locked".Lucy scooted up and grabbed it."Don't touch anything else", she called her from behind."And your lighter?"."Oh, it broke, I'll get the lights", Jessica got up.I ducked and ran full speed
She waded through mud, her feet became heavy by the alternative burying in the Earth. She was soaking wet and she stared at the rain pouring down, pestering and hurting her. Everything right now seemed to her as hurting because she'd been hurt from inside."Rot in peace!", she yelled at the tombstones, splashing water drops around her mouth. The dark cemetery stared back at her, a creature this fearless. Wind swept along her direction.Destruction, mayhem, chaos, everything was happening. Everything. She knocked her diary, the one she told the untold in, inside the grave she dug. The grave of someone she knew. Then she embraced the shovel, resting on the bark of a tree and heaved all Earth back. The mud was very thin in consistency since it was raining. Stomping on the marsh puddles, she burried all hurting memories or as she thought she did.She gurgled under her breath, "My life is collapsing...crumbling... meaningless and all the sick words one can think of".The thunder rose."Lo
Lisa grabbed young Elijah and made her sit on her lap, "Say mommy, baby", she planted kisses on her cheeks."Mo-mmy", she breaked. But no response."Ok, let's try this again, the easy way... Wanna try the easy way?"."Ok, say Mo-".Lisa became silent and smile disappeared from her face. Elijah was still staring at her hands like there's no sensation, no perception. She started checking her mouth, saw her tongue and moved it up and down."She doesn't respond and I think I should tell she's five now and she doesn't babble too. I've never heard her make sounds and I used to hold her bottle in her mouth every other minute cause she...", Lisa began crying and her voice broke."It's ok, Mrs. Heath. Some children speak late. You just have to waith till her time comes. Every child has it's own time", Dr. Celia explained."But it could be possible that something might be wrong", Lisa said wiping her tears."No such detected problem with her. She's perfectly fine. Her reports are clear", she sl
I leaned in my chamber and stuffed books and notebooks in my backpack. I didn't care what junk I was taking and slammed the locker door shut.I walked past the hallway, contrary to the overpopulation of thudding shoes everyday, very few people were present due to homecoming. Especially girls. I wasn't facing anyone and tried to finish the day while pretending to be invisible. I don't want to hear Jessica's and Lucy's names.I walked with my head down but with rotating eyes. I think everyone is talking about me. Everyone knows. I gulped my spit and turned my head up.Everything felt the same. The Janitor's son got bullied, the same pain in his eyes. The groups were laughing wildly, the same carefree grin in their eyes.Everything is the same. Everything is normal. Nobody knows.Nobody...Suddenly someone whacked a back of hand against my shoulder from behind. I spun and blowed a fist in the face with all waking energy. The person tripped and landed on the arse."You?", my voice choked
I felt like someone planted lips on my cheek, as hot breath moistened it."You'll miss good things sleeping", she said, "Wake up!".I shifted."Hey!", the voice resonated."Hey! You need to get up!", I realized the change of voice as someone rapidly slapped on my cheek. My eyelids parted a bit and I saw a swivel of people around me. My head felt so burdensome over my neck."She's alive", a girl smiled at me, "Told ya she's just comatose".My eyes began closing again and her voice breaked and echoed around me. I can't understand what she's saying to me.I put up all energy and pushed my eyes open then I shoved myself in a sitting position. I can't feel my lower region and when I tried to sit it was hurting. I hissed in pain."Where... Where am I?", my voice was scratchy for not using it long."Look, we might look like a jackass to you but we don't know either, still trynna figure out and I'd insist you on it too", someone spoke angrily like I asked some stupid question.I looked in th
"Do I have a word in here?", Lisa shouted through the high volume. I turned it down but my eyes remained glued to the screen."I told you about the dinner with Amanda", she yelled, "Any valid explanation for not changing yet?"."I didn't like it!", I seldom say a whole sentence."You better go else this is on you", she waved, "No computer for a month!"."This isn't fair!", I protested. She smiled victoriously.I half-heartedly clambered upstairs and scowled at the stupid thing waiting for me on my bed.A floral frock in red, yellow and orange.I pulled it down and spun as I saw my reflection, flashing my legs through it as it suspended. I looked so behaved and nice."What a trap!", I thought.I had a sudden impulse to show it to Lisa. Not for her wet kisses but that way I can debt her. She'll have to do something for me cause I did what she said.I smiled as I made my way to her room. It was at the end of the short hall. It was dark and I had to fumble along the wall, unable to find t
His voice sent shivers to my spine. He wants me. Wants me desperately .She couldn't have just vanished in the thin air. Find her!'I peeked out to see her face still bloodied. He looked so barbarous and choppy. Why is he so beside himself? What does he want ?' Phew!, I breathed as they prowled out to search me. I'm alone again. The hours passed,Waiting and thinking grievously. My stomach ached so violently, like my acid is now dissolving it's walls. It bubbled like a giantgrowling. I thought of diverting my attention, singing in whispers. After sunset I shoved up. It's time.I couldn't feel my legs but I got on them anyway. Ignoring the pain shooting up and down my body. I brushed myself off, my clothes were damp from sweat and barn dirt.A huge red ball of sun still hung low in the sky.The air carried an evening coolness. Sweet corn's smell struck my nostrils. I staggered out, adjusting my eyes to the darkness.Almost losing my balance, I sucked in a deep, delicious breath of air
