"Blood?" He repeated the same thing again, staring at his shirt with his brain thinking on what to say.

"I might have stained you when you rescued me. Thought it would have dried but I guess the weather is crazy" Karina added and Adam couldn't help but to rejoice inwardly cos at that moment, he had lost words and things might fall apart.

"Ain't you hungry? I made you some snacks since that's the only thing that I was able to make with the few ingredients at home" he asked, standing up to be on the way to the kitchen.

"I'm watching my weight. late night foods do give a big tummy and I'm trying to prevent that from happening at all cost" she replied and before Adam could say other things, her tummy made some grumpy sound, indicating that it needed to be fed.

"I think I should go and bring you the snacks, so that you can use pain relief drugs, '' Adam uttered as he embarked on the short journey to the kitchen.

"This is some minutes past one in the morning, " Karina mumbled.
