The meat was delicious. This was what pained Lara the most; that the new girl had killed her fur babies and the meat tasted extraordinarily sweet. She also noticed the tension between Draven and Leo. Draven and Leo inched away from the rest of the group. It was way past midnight and the girls were in bed. The boys, now fully aware of each other, had purposefully stayed awake overnight so they could talk about the missing pieces of Diane’s story. They only had to look at one another and decide that it would be best to stay awake while the other slept.It didn’t take much for Lara to sleep. They walked back slowly to the camp, being careful not to make any noise to alert the others. Diane was flabbergasted. The minute Draven touched her hand and his fingers burned into her skin, she knew the danger was closer than usual. How would she explain that he had endangered their lives far more than she would have? Diane hated the situation she was in. She stopped closer to him and looked into his eyes. He had changed in many ways that she had missed; his extra broad shoulders and his commanding aura. Draven was really beginning to enjoy the water. It was so warm and so relaxing to his muscles, that he decided he wouldn’t let Diane’s words get in between him and his pleasure.“So does this guy have a list of what he wants to do to you or what?” He asked carelessly.Diane popped her head above water again. “Yup, he has this long ass list. Leo was full of suspicion. All his life, he always trusted his instincts. He always knew when something was wrong and would fight solely against it. The first day he saw Diane, he didn’t necessarily fight her, even though he had his reservations about her.She was stunning then. She was still stunning now, but most of that allure faded when he discovered that she wasn’t even a good person. Worse of it was that she killed him just because he got in her way.
