Chapter 22

The man familiarly called Mr. Steven stood in front of his luxurious mansion. In the midst of heavy rain, Steven awaited the return of his henchmen assigned to terrorize Franklin. Steven did not do this without reason. Something had happened some time ago that ended up turning into hatred.

A few months earlier...

Steven knew he had already hurt Clara and even intended to take her life. That night, Steven was furious when he was rejected by the woman who was his dream, even though there had been some business rivalry between them. Steven and Clara may not have been as close as imagined, but the man was obsessed with her to the point of knowing everything about her.

Clara, from her name to her past, Steven knew it all. He even knew her coworkers and customers in the illegal business. Steven always made time to park his vehicle at the apartment where Clara lived. Anyone who came in or out of her unit, Steven knew. Including Franklin, a young man Steven knew who he was.
