Chapter 69

After making Clara feel more calm and comfortable, Franklin finally headed home to fulfill his promise to his mother. He brought Clara along for the planned dinner.

When they arrived, Clara was warmly welcomed, as usual. Mrs. Smith was very friendly and would happily receive anyone. Especially welcoming Clara, who had caught her interest.
