Chapter 94

Deep down, Franklin still loved Clara. That attraction continued to linger in his soul. However, memories of betrayal made him reluctant to hope for romance. It was better for them not to have a relationship at all. Maybe life would be more beautiful if Clara wasn't by his side.

Without realizing it, Franklin's gaze kept focusing on the girl sitting beside him, asleep. Clara looked very beautiful, with a strand of hair covering her eyelid slightly marring that beauty. Franklin's fingers moved to brush away that strand of hair, revealing her face fully.

"I'm glad I can see you like this. However, I don't like your attitude," Franklin muttered.

Feeling fingers touching her face, Clara brushed them away and slowly opened her eyes. She vaguely saw Franklin's fingers continuing to caress her hair down to her cheek. A slight smile formed on the girl's lips.

"What's wrong?"

Franklin was startled to hear Clara's voice as she woke up. He became flustered and quickly snapped out of his actions.
