Nathaniel almost scoffed at her question but he held himself back. He remembered telling her about the hotel he was working at and that had been almost a year ago. She must have forgotten about it which was why she was able to come to the hotel where he was working. She probably would have avoided the hotel If she had recalled.. He wasn't sure if she even remembered anything about him, every time he had to even remind her of his birthday while he never forgot hers.

"I work here" He replied calmly, his eyes not leaving hers so he would be able to capture her every reaction.

Her eyes slightly widened "Oh! This was the hotel you worked at?"

Nathaniel was about to reply her but her boss came to stand beside her, also dressed in a white bathrobe, then he stared at Nathaniel, wondering what he was doing by the door.

"What were you discussing?" David questioned with an eyebrow raised.

Lana faced David with a smile "This is Nate"

"Your boyfriend?" David asked in a mocking tone of voice, giving Nathaniel a dirty look which clearly meant 'oh! he's that boyfriend of yours?' But Nathaniel's focus wasn't on him but on his girlfriend who didn't seem the least remorseful about being caught in the act. She was so calm, too calm like he catching her cheating was something not out of the ordinary. It was like he was the weird one there.

David stretched out his hand towards Nathaniel as if waiting for him to shake him but Nathaniel only stared at him blankly. 'what is going on with this two?' He couldn't believe anyone could still behave this way after being caught cheating. In fact, if one knew no better, they'll think he was the villain who came to spoil a lovely couple's night.

His pupils dilated and his lips trembled as he struggled for words to speak "Lan .. why? I....how..." He stuttered not finding the right word to vent his frustration, his confusion and sadness.

Lana grinned as she watched him stumble over his words, she then clicked her tongue with disdain "You were originally so poor that it was too pitiful, now you can't even speak properly?" She then moved closer to him, staring directly into his eyes which was already getting teary.

"So what were you trying to ask me earlier? Why I'm cheating on you?" She tilted her head as it waiting for him to reply her but he was still too stunned to even blink.

He couldn't believe what he was witnessing. His always quiet girlfriend suddenly behaving like a stranger wasn't familiar to him at all. It was like he was in another universe and met someone who looks just like Lana but wasn't her.

"Lan...I.. I've never hurt you, have I? ....So why?" He could never understand why she could cheat on him. He had always done everything she wanted him to do and stop whatever she didn't want even if it were things he really loved doing just so she could be happy with him but she cheated on him?

Lana snickered "You are just a mere Barman, do you think you have the right to be with me? I only took pity on you because you were being clingy and having a clingy partner doesn't sound so bad. If not, do you think I would have chosen you out of the suitable others?"

Nathaniel was utterly speechless "But I thought...."

"You thought I loved you?" She giggles, even David joined in her laughter.

"You were right about him being Naive"

"Right?" She then raised her hand up to his shoulder and patted him softly. "Honey, the woman for you hasn't been born yet. Do you think anyone would stay with you when you are as wretched as you are now?"

By now, Nathaniel could see several people by the hallway, all watching them even though there wasn't much drama. Guess he was the drama here, he really shouldn't have come to confront her. He should have pretended not to know anything but is that really possible?

'I should leave before I get humiliated further' he decided as he took a step away from her. His expression was blank because of the lack of the right feeling for this moment. All that was on his mind was for him to get far away from here.

Another step, then another, before he turned his back at them. He could hear them snickering but that doesn't matter anymore. As long as he could go far away from them, anywhere was fine.

He didn't even know how he got back to the lobby but he walked past the receptionist desk absentmindedly which made Emma and Aidan know something was wrong with him.

"Should we go after him?" Aidan asked Emma as he watched Nathaniel's retreating figure. He looked like the world had abandoned him which was very rare, considering the person was Nathaniel not anyone else.

Emma sighed "I don't know what went down with him but I believe he wants to be alone right now"

After leaving the hotel, Nathaniel walked aimlessly not bothered about wherever his legs would take him to, all he needed was a breath of fresh air in order to clear his head.

As he continued his aimless walk, he felt his cellphone buzz. At first he ignored it but it vibrated again which made him unable to ignore it. He toon out the cellphone from his pocket and unlocked it to check what the notification was about.

"You have received a payment" was what the notification was about. Nathaniel wondered what payment it was as he wasn't expecting any money, he was as cashless as less could be which actually makes him wonder if he was as wretched as Lana had said he was.

He scrolled down the message and what he saw made him freeze, then blink, blink again and again. He even had to rub his eyes in order to confirm the number of zeros in the amount that was sent to his account.

"What is going on here?" His shock of catching Lana cheating on him was all gone and all he could focus on was that he was looking at right now.

He was thinking it must be a mistake because there was no way in hell he'll have anyone who would send a million dollars to him not to talk of Billions of dollars.

While he was deep in his thoughts, he failed to notice the cars that had stopped in front of him. It wasn't until he heard footsteps approach him did he look up and he saw rows of men in black standing in front of him.

He took a step backwards due to shock "Wh-who are you guys?" It can't be that he had offended a rich person, right? Or is it Lana's boss?

The one who seemed to be the leader of the men in black, lowered his head in a bow which made Nathaniel's eyes widened.

Can anyone just tell him what the hell was going on????
