Darwin's breath caught in disbelief. "Mother? But... how is that possible?" he stammered, his voice laced with confusion. A million thoughts were swirling in his head as he tried to process this revelation.

"Mother?" Darwin gasped once more, his mind overwhelmed by shock and bewilderment. A flood of emotions washed over him as he tried to process this revelation. How could this noble, esteemed lady be his mother? Raised as an orphan in a humble village, his true origins had always remained a mystery.

Lady Margaret sobbed, tears streaming down her face at his bedside. "My dear boy, I never thought I'd see you again," she cried, grasping his hand tightly in hers. "All these years I've wondered where you were, if you were safe and well. I thought I'd lost you forever."

Her words only deepened Darwin's confusion. "I don't understand," he said, shaking his head weakly. "The orphanage told me I was abandoned as a baby. They said I didn't have any family."

She cupped his pale cheek tenderly. "Fate has brought us back together when you needed me most. I'm so happy to see you again my son."

Darwin's mind swam as he tried to process her story. So many questions tumbled through his thoughts - about his past, his family, why she gave him away. He met her watery gaze, seeing only love and regret reflecting back at him.

"I...I don't know what to say," he replied softly. "This is all so sudden. All my life I've wondered about my mother and now..." His voice broke as emotion overtook him.

Lady Margaret embraced him gently. "I know this is difficult to accept. But you are not alone anymore, my son. Come home with me and I promise I will tell you everything, leave no part of your history untold."

Darwin nodded slowly against her, comforted by her maternal warmth. "Yes...I think I need to understand. Please, tell me where I come from." For the first time, he felt a glimmer of hope that he might find the answers and belonging he had always sought.

The next day, as Darwin slowly awoke from a restful night's sleep, the doctor paid him a visit.

"How are you feeling today, young man?" He asked with a warm smile.

"Much better, thank you sir]," Darwin replied, though his head still spun with questions. "Though my mind remains in a whirl. Have you any news?"

The doctor gave a nod. "The good news is, your vitals have stabilized wonderfully. No signs of infection or further complications. I'd say you're fit to be discharged as long as you continue your recovery at home."

Just then, Lady Margaret swept into the room, beaming with joy and relief. "Doctor, what is the verdict? she asked eagerly.

When he relayed his prognosis, she clasped her hands together. "Oh, thank heavens! Darwin, you simply must come stay with me so I can care for you properly. The estate has the finest chefs and doctors, you'll want for nothing."

Darwin smiled weakly. "You are too kind. After so long not knowing where I belonged, your hospitality and your love are more than I could ask for. If it is alright with the doctor, I accept your invitation."

The doctor agreed Darwin was well enough, so preparations were made. When all was signed and the final exams passed, they made their way outside.

As they exited the hospital doors, Darwin gasped at the sleek vehicle waiting before them. A pristine Rolls Royce glistened under the afternoon sun, the very picture of wealth and prestige.

Beside it stood an elderly butler dressed impeccably in a tailored suit. "Madam, young sir, your carriage awaits," he said politely, opening the gleaming rear door.

Darwin stared at the luxury car in awe and disbelief. "Is that really a Rolls Royce?" he asked his mother in hushed tones.

Lady Margaret smiled warmly at his wonderment. "Why yes, darling, only the finest for the Wettin family."

As they slipped inside the sumptuous leather interior, Darwin turned to the butler still standing dutifully by the door. "Sir, may I ask, how much would a car like this even cost?"

"Around five million for a bespoke model such as this," replied the butler. "This particular Rolls is a special limited edition commissioned specifically for the Wettin ancestry."
