Archer woke up when he heard his name being called.

"The patron wants to see you," the guard said.

Archer nodded and moved to get up. The door was opened and he followed the guard down the hallway.

The guard led him to a door and gestured for him to go in, Archer raised a brow, that didn't look like the patron's office.

He opened his mouth to ask when he was kicked inside the room.

Archer stumbled forward, he turned back just as he heard the door shut with a click. His eyes quickly adjusted to the darkness but he knew someone was there.

"Do you have what I asked?" the voice asked him.

He furrowed his brows at the familiar voice. It was the same one that beat him up that day.

"What did you ask?"

A hand shot out and slapped him, Archer smiled to himself.

"Why operate in the dark though? The last time, you tied my eyes then now, you chose a dark room. Are you scared of me?" he asked again

The hand shot out again but this time, Archer was expecting it. He grabbed it and pulled, grabbing t

He was so sure that the would back out the same way they did to him when he was in the same situation but to Liam’s surprise, the members seemed unwaveringly loyal to Archer, even though he were in prison."Archer, I gotta say," Liam said, smiling broadly, "I'm really impressed with how you handled all that. Your board seems so protective of you. What's your secret? How'd you manage to get them to trust you like that?"Archer paused, then leaned back against the wall, his expression thoughtful. "It's not a secret, Liam. It takes time and effort. I didn't just suddenly earn their trust. It was a process, a long one."Liam nodded, absorbing Archer's words. "So, how'd you do it?"Archer crossed his arms, staring out the small, barred window that let in a hint of daylight. "I had to prove myself. Show them that I was capable, reliable, and trustworthy. "You can't just ignore me like that!"She raised an eyebrow, glancing up at him with a detached air. "Oh? You were saying something, Davide? I must have missed it. Why are you here?"His eyes narrowed at her sarcastic response, and he took a step closer to her desk. "Don't play games with me, Madison. You know exactly what I'm here for."Madison sighed, placing the pen down and leaning back in her chair. "Look, Davide, I've got a lot of work to do, so if you could be more specific, it would help."Davide's scowl deepened, his fists clenching at his sides. "You know what I wan

"What are you doing here?"Madison smiled warmly, patting the seat next to her. "I just wanted to have lunch with you. "How'd you get to the Sheikh? Seems like you've been making moves behind our backs."Archer tilted his head slightly, his eyes locked onto Omar's. "What kind of man do you think I am? All I had to do was tell the Sheikh to call his hunting dogs off me or face the consequences. It's a simple request."Omar scoffed, a grin spreading across his face. "Is that what you think? That it was just that easy? Let me

Archer shook his head, “I know why, I stole from him years ago.” “You did what?” Damien almost yelled. Archer shrugged, “it’s not much but to him it’s a sign of disrespect. I had to survive and the best way to do it was with a little help,” “What happened to you?” Kei asked, “I was under the impression that you magically blew into a rich heir overnight,” “I wish that was true,” Archer scoffed, “I did things I wasn’t proud of but I don’t regret anything. I was a child with no parents and no money, I had no problems stealing even if it meant I don’t starve to death.” “We are not judging you, Archer. I didn’t get to where I am right now without a little sin or two. I am just curious as to why you didn’t stay with him,” Damien

    Chapter 294

Nine year old Archer walked along the streets, hungry and tired. His eyes were drooping close like he might drop down on the dirty floor. For days, he had walked this alleyway. Searching for something to eat, anything at all. The only money he had was left for emergency in case he fell sick which he wasn’t far from right now. He stopped beside a dumpster and leaned his head against it, just five minutes and he would be alright. His eyes closed but not before he begged for a savior, the saying be careful what you wish for was right in that sense. A boot kicked him after an hour and his eyes flew open, there in front of him were three men with snarls on their faces. It didn’t register at first till Archer sat up quickly, bumping his head against the dumpster and wincing. The men looked at me before they burst into laughter, “look what we found, did a cat get lost?” “No, I just wanted to sleep,” Archer had said. They frowned before one reached out and slapped him, the force o

I was curious to know about the friend you sang praises for, and since I had to test him, that’s why I sent him?”Archer chuckled, “this is crazy. This is fucking crazy, I cannot believe you are testing me. What do you have to test me for? If you were tired of hearing about me from Damien , then you should have asked him to stop talking about me.”Kei shook his head, “way before that, I have always heard about you.
