“So lame! Why are you trying so hard to act brave?” Finn questioned, now taking the lead to send out the insults. “What can you do with that phone call of yours? You must be calling who now?”

“Haha,” Carlos laughed. “I’m sure he doesn’t even have anyone to call and is only pretending.”

“Let’s see what he can do. It must be great to watch his stupid escape plan fail,” Carles added.

At that moment, Tedmond dialed Thomas’s number, and he picked up immediately.

“Yes, young master?” Thomas said, his tone serious. “Do you need me to do anything?”

“Yes. There’s something I would like you to do,” Tedmond began, his words drawing the attention of the triplets, who had gone silent to hear him talk to the person he claimed to be talking to. “I want you to contact Mr. Ginny and ask him to apologize on his son’s behalf for ruining my dinner with Bianca.”

The triplets and everyone listening were stunned by his words.

“He must be here before ten minutes are up, or he will regret being late,” Tedmond

Tedmond stood still, his expression calm, as everyone kept staring at the door. A few moments passed, and murmurs began to ripple through the crowd.“He’s bluffing.”“I told you it was fake.”“Such a loser. How embarrassing.”“He acted so tough and sure that Mr. Ginny would show up.”“That’s why you have to be realistic when dealing with things,” a woman said, flashing her newly done nails. “How can a loser like him actually get Mr. Ginny here? He is just rude nonsense!”“Yes! Look at him acting all arrogant and perfect when it was all fake.”The crowd looked at him, disgust settling in their eyes. Some of them had anticipated that there was no way Mr. Ginny would show up just because of a kid’s call, but a few had hoped to be surprised and actually see Mr. Ginny appear. However, Tedmond had not only wasted their time, but he had also made them regret even thinking he could pull it off.Carlos smirked and folded his arms. “Well, Tedmond, what do you have to say for yourself now? The triplets raised their heads to look at Tedmond. For a moment, they thought he might have been the one behind it, but they snapped out of that thought almost immediately. The way Tedmond was looking at them made them uneasy. It was as if he couldn’t wait for them to answer the call.‘Ahh, there’s no way that loser did something,’ Carles thought, his eyes trailing from Tedmond to his phone. ‘It must be a coincidence.’‘I’m thinking way too much,’ Carlos muttered, raising his hand with the phone in it.“I’ll put the phone on speaker to show that it’s just a coincidence the modeling company called!” Carlos announced, his voice loud enough for everyone to hear. “This will prove that he’s just bluffing!”Tedmond glanced down at Bianca, who was grinning from ear to ear. Just looking at her made the smirk leave his face. She looked even more excited than he did, which made him feel awkward that she found this more entertaining than he did.“We don’t need evidence to know he’s bluffing!” s

The triplets fell silent the moment Mr. Ginny finished yelling. Finn gulped, his hands trembling as he avoided everyone's gaze, not wanting to be reminded that he was the one who decided to mess with Tedmond, while the twins were merely supporting him.“Mr. Ginny is so terrifying,” Bianca mumbled to Tedmond.Tedmond glanced down at Bianca. “Perhaps he’s finally snapped at them.”Mr. Ginny shifted his gaze to Tedmond. “How about we discuss what you really want in private?” he suggested. “I don’t know the full story of what happened, but I have an idea of what it was. I’d like to offer some compensation.”With that, he pulled out a black card and held it out to Tedmond. “You said I should compensate you for my son’s behavior by paying for your dinner, but I arrived later than you expected, causing me to lose the contract—one of the most important in my company.”Sweat trickled down Mr. Ginny’s face. Although he sounded composed, he was trembling inside. Another mistake could mean the de

The manager, who had tried to gain favor with everyone, clasped his hands together in frustration. Not only had he failed to curry favor with the Ginny family, but he had also diminished the goodwill he might have earned from Tedmond."The triplets are ready to apologize," Mr. Ginny informed Tedmond. "Look, they’re heading over now."The triplets exchanged a glance with their father before reluctantly stepping forward. After all, Tedmond had promised to return the contract to them if they apologized."We’re sorry for insulting you," Carlos said, trying to sound sincere. "We made a grave mistake. Could you please forgive us?""Please," Carles added. "We’ll make sure this never happens again. We won’t get in your way or show our faces to you anymore.""That’s right," Carly chimed in. "We’re deeply sorry for the terrible things we said and for trying to embarrass you in front of everyone, even when you were trying to ignore us."Tedmond scrutinized them carefully. So far, they hadn’t men

Now that the drama had ended, the customers were beginning to leave. Many plates of food had gone cold as people had been too engrossed in the confrontation to eat, leaving several tables unoccupied.‘He asked me for a seat?’ the manager thought, feeling a surge of hope. ‘This is my chance to win his favor.’“How about I arrange a VIP room for you both?” he suggested eagerly. “It’ll be more private and comfortable than sitting here among the crowd. What do you think? Isn’t that a great idea?”Tedmond and Bianca exchanged a look, raising their eyebrows at the manager.‘Did I say something wrong?’ the manager wondered, starting to panic. He quickly tried a different tactic.“The VIP room will be in the house. Trust me, it’s—”“No, thanks!” Tedmond and Bianca replied in unison, cutting him off.Dejected, the manager stared at them with concern in his eyes. “Why not? There’s no reason for you to turn down my offer. I’ll make sure you have an experience unlike any other.”Tedmond arched an

A frown crossed Finn’s face as his legs trembled. He tried to lower his leg but paused, knowing it might cause him to take a step forward. And if he took that step, it would mean ruining his family’s business.“You can move as much as you want,” Tedmond taunted, a smirk on his lips. “No one asked you not to.”With that, Tedmond rose to his feet and held out a hand for Bianca. She hesitated for a moment but then placed her hand in his. As soon as she stood, Tedmond scooped her up into his arms and strode toward the exit.“Meet me at school, Finn,” Tedmond called over his shoulder, a sly smile on his face. “You’d better come find me, or you might regret it.”Finn’s frown deepened as he forced himself to stay rooted to the spot. He nodded hesitantly, watching as Tedmond disappeared through the restaurant doors without looking back. Once Tedmond was out of sight, Finn finally allowed himself to set his foot down, his heart pounding in his chest. He exhaled sharply, his gaze darting nervou

Thomas glanced at Tedmond with a confused look on his face as soon as the question left his lips.Seeing Thomas silent, Tedmond raised his head to look at him, only to be met with a confused and curious stare. Thomas looked at him like he had just asked something he wasn’t supposed to.“Why are you looking at me like that?” Tedmond asked in confusion.“Did you want to go to the company since they’re there to ask for your hand in marriage?” Thomas replied with a question. “Do you know it’s insulting for them to think about that, let alone approach you like that?”Tedmond’s confused expression turned into one of fear as he looked at Thomas. The beaming look was gone from Thomas’s face, and he looked really pissed—his eyes dark, and his brows twitching in anger.“How dare they try to propose to you in the first place?” Thomas asked. “Did you give off the vibe that you might be interested in their daughter? How dare they think that she is good enough for you? Is that how much they look do

“You don’t need to go to the company in person,” Thomas said, standing in front of Tedmond, who was crouched in front of Bianca at the front door. “Lora can handle everything properly.”Tedmond, already dressed for work in a tailored suit and polished shoes, exuded elegance. His slicked-back hair completed his model-like appearance.Raising his head to look at Thomas, Tedmond offered a small smile. “I know that, but I need to hear about the GNN incident in person. It’s better for me to handle it myself.”He had received a message from GNN clarifying the rumors, but he wasn’t sure how the situation had been resolved and wanted to confirm it himself. Not only that, Tedmond intended to hand over the recording he had obtained from the Griffin mansion to Duncan, letting him handle it however he wished. If he wanted to strike back at the Griffin family, he might as well let someone else do the dirty work for him.Of course, he couldn’t tell Thomas about his plans. If Thomas found out, Bianc

Her scowl deepened. “How dare you grab my hand? Hearing that question was enough to make Max boil with anger. He knew Tedmond was taking advantage of their grandmother’s favoritism, but he hadn’t expected it to go this far.Max’s lips parted, ready to retort, but before he could get a word out, Vivian cut him off.“There’s no need to argue. Like Tedmond said, he’s your little brother, and you have to take care of him,” she said. “Instead of letting him drive, you’ll drive.”That was when Max remembered this had happened before—only back then, he had been the one in the backseat while Tedmond was asked to drive.Biting his lip until it bled, Max couldn’t hide his frustration. Now the roles were reversed, and he was the one being asked to drive. As far as Max could recall, his grandmother had always treated him better than anyone else in the family. It had always felt natural for her to take his side. But now that her attention had shifted to Tedmond, it seemed like she no longer cared about him.‘I’m not going to accept this,’ Max t

You’re not. You’re a snake. A bastard. A nobody trying to take my place.”Max took another step forward, now just inches from Tedmond’s face.“If you think I’m going to let this go… you’re dead wrong,” he said in a low, venomous tone. “You better watch your back, because I swear—I’ll make you regret ever stepping into this family.”Vivian, who was standing beside them, glared at Max, furious that he was saying things completely against her wishes.“That’s enough, Max!” Vivian scolded. “Go back to where you were standing.”Max whipped his head toward her, eyes bloodshot. “No! Silence filled the room. No one had expected the grandmother to offer the position of heir to Tedmond so casually—just a few words, and everything changed.Max’s eyes widened in disbelief, his face draining of color. He knew his grandmother suffered from amnesia, but he hadn’t imagined she’d go this far—handing over his rightful place to someone like Tedmond. Not only was she willing to give away everything he had worked for, she was also casting aside her own grandson.Lisa was just as stunned, her mouth hanging open. She had never imagined this would be how Max lost everything.“You can’t do that, Grandma!” Max suddenly shouted, rising from his seat. His face was livid. “How could you give my position to him like that?!”Even Tedmond, the man at the center of it all, looked taken aback. He blinked, his lips parting slightly. Sure, he knew Grandma Vivian liked him now—thanks to the amnesia—but he hadn’t expected this. Not in a million years.“That’s right!” Lisa added quickly, standi

“Is this supposed to be a restaurant?” Tedmond asked himself, his brows furrowing. The place looked old and dirty. The walls were cracked, and some parts were black from dirt. The sign above the door was broken. One of the letters didn’t light up, and the rest blinked like it could go off at any time. The front door was small and dusty. The wood looked weak, like it could break if someone pushed hard. A broken doorbell was hanging by the side, and it didn’t have a button. There were two trash bins near the door. One was open, and a bad smell came from it.Old posters were stuck on the wall, but they were ripped and dirty. The windows had marks all over them, and the blinds inside were hanging the wrong way. “What is this place?” he said, looking at his phone again to check the address. The address was the same as the one Max had sent him, indicating that he hadn’t gone to the wrong place. But no matter how much he thought about it, the place he was standing in front of wasn’t where

He had just arrived on campus and hadn’t even done anything yet, and still, he was bombarded by Finn—someone who clearly had no idea how to read the room before acting.Giving Finn a blank stare, Tedmond genuinely wondered if he was just stupid. Not only did Finn fail to read the atmosphere, but he also just said the most ridiculous thing ever. This wasn’t the first time Tedmond had eaten in the cafeteria. It wasn’t even the second. The only reason he had avoided the cafeteria in the past was because it was one of the main places Max and his friends had humiliated him the most.He hadn’t wanted them to do something to his food and make him eat it.So, he’d stayed away—not because he couldn’t afford the meals that only cost a few bucks—but to protect himself.“What the hell are you talking about now?” Persis asked, frowning as she looked at Finn. “Don’t tell me you came to join the table just to say that?”She was already irritated that Lisa was at the table, ev
