Chapter 13

"Please Daniel aunt made me promise not to tell you," Zain tried calming him down. "If you do anything stupid, you will only stress her out," he added.

Daniel swallowed hard, his friend was right, staying calm and waiting for his aunt to wake up was the better option rather than using his emotions.

He quietly took a seat and after going over all of their plans for selling the gold, he became calm and walked back into his aunt's room. He had already given George the house, but it appeared that he was not going to stop harassing his aunt.

When she awoke, she told him everything and made him swear not to confront George. They planned to make it appear as if Daniel was unaware of the Relic.

George Meyers was a dangerous man. That was a fact, that his aunt did not want him to forget especially if he planned to go after him. Underestimating one's enemy always resulted in regret. She could only assume that was exactly what George was going through. That was if he believed her story.
