CHAPTER FOURTEEN: A Clearer Insight

"No need for that, Romsey said to him. There's always a time for everything, Rob. He smiled gently. Robson smirks with a feeling of frustration; he is a man of action and is always ready to set the ball rolling. He inserts his phone into his pocket.

"But, boss, it is said that one needs to be careful with whoever has access to his toothbrush; those niggas messed with the wrong man. You need to take action immediately. I feel it's time they get a toothache." Romsey smiles gently at Rob's humor. "That's quite nice, but let's allow the bird to swim in the lake for a while before taking it to the ocean." Rob laughs loudly as Romsey picks up the TV remote to change the channels.

"Hey guys, there's a call from the grand master," Herbert entered, a man in his late 40s, one of Eleanor's special advisors. "The call is for you, young master," he kneels as he hands Romsey the phone.

"Hello, my son, your account has been credited with $500,000,000. Please do well to use that for a start."

Romsey couldn't believe his ears. "Thanks, sir," he replied hastily.

"I am also preparing for a grand feast to welcome you to Chicago, where you'll have your special training and get to know more about my businesses and myself." Romsey chuckled; he was mesmerized. It seemed all like a dream to him. He cleared his throat and then tried to reply again. "Thanks, sir, I'm grateful, sir."

"Outside the building are several cars; you can ride in any of them, except for the two at the Grand Garage, they belong to your stepmother, a special gift on a special occasion. Ask Eleanor to hand you the keys to any of the cars you want to ride and never go out without guards. I've got more friends than enemies, sir," Romsey snogged.

"No, never use that on your father. I know that I wronged you, but that shouldn't prompt you to stop referring to me as Dad."

"I'm sorry, Dad," Romsey corrected himself quickly, smiling and shaking his head gently.

"Also, never sound like a wanderer or a hungry man; you need to always put your shoulders high with pride. Be bold and unapologetic always. Bye."

The call didn't end when Romsey handed the phone to Herbert, who was standing at attention just beside him.

He screamed at the top of his voice, the happiness was obvious in his demeanor, and his shiny dentition showed his diastema. Herbert places the phone to his ear and replies, "Okay, grandmaster," then bows and turns to walk away.

Eleanor approaches the living room, wearing a designer gown that shimmers with elegance and grace.

"Young master, we will be traveling back to Chicago soon," her voice echoed through the spacious veranda where Romsey stood. "Dad has asked that I hand you this, he had also asked that you should prepare to see him soon."

She screams, jumping in excitement as she hands him a customized gold iPhone, lavishly adorned with gleaning gold, its lavish golden design and exquisite craftsmanship command a price tag of about $700,000, and only a selected few could afford such a luxury.

"What, this is serious," Romsey again couldn't believe his eyes, he kneeled to the ground, raising his hands.

"Get up young master, you're not supposed to kneel for any reason, not to me, not to anyone," Eleanor exclaimed.

Romsey jumps up. "Never refer to me as your young master, dear," he says, turning to Eleanor.

She smiled gracefully. "I never expected you to be this humble, young... sorry, Romsey." She held Romsey's hands and embraced him so closely as they walked back in.

It was late in the evening, 7 per day. Eleanor knocks and opens into Romsey's room. "Brother, can we go on a spree?" she asked Romsey politely. "I'm sorry to disturb your silent hour."

"Anything for you, dear," Romsey replied, jumping out of the bed as she stepped out.

"Set out the rides," the young master commands the same. The guards immediately pick up their ammunition, the drivers rush to arrange the chosen fleet of cars.

Romsey's face is intertwined with joy and anxiety as he is about to step out for the first time on an exclusive cruise as a billionaire.

He jumps into the golden-colored Buggati Veyron, as the convoy drives out.

*********

The world seemed to obey Romsey on his night cruise; V8 engines roared with a ferocity that matched the majestic stride of lions, echoing through the streets and commanding attention from all who beheld them.

Pedestrians paused in awe as the convoy passed, their eyes drawn to the spectacle before them. Some fumbled for their phones, eager to capture a glimpse of this extraordinary sight, while others simply stood in silent admiration, mesmerised by the sheer grandeur of the scene unfolding before them.

Eleanor turns to Romsey, who was sitting close to her in the car. "Young master, how about we have a showdown in one of these expensive sit-outs?" She smiles at his stare.

"That sounds like a good idea," they blinked, parking into The " Alpha Dines and Touch" , one of the most magnificent eateries in Canada.

The guards stepped out, all dressed in black with dark glasses to complement, all working hefty and huge.

Robson rushes to open the door of the car for Romsey and Eleanor; they big stepped out in a touch of class and magnificence.

Romsey's attire was always simple; his new, sent-costly raiments made him feel a bit uncomfortable, so he had to hide in his normal wear, a means of disguising his new personality.

Eleanor has always been on the top of fashion; for her, every bit of her clothing must be a trending one and must match with the car she's driving, so her gold shimmering dress caused sparkling reflection on Romsey's face as they walked into the eatery.

"Look who we have in that crowd, young master," Eleanor called Romsey's attention to several influential groups who were smoking, drinking, and cheering.

"It looks like they're having a celebration," she smirked.

Romsey turned, and immediately he caught sight of Lucas, who was celebrating his new promotion at work and, of course, his handbag. Fiona must always be by his side. "She clinged to him everywhere," Romsey said as he smiled wryly.

Eleanor turns to Ellen, one of her maids who was ravishing with beauty.

"Go set the ball rolling on that table. I want to have fun tonight."
