Vera was walking alone in the crowded streets of the city. She was looking for a bus that could take her home after a full day of activities. Suddenly, a car stopped right in front of her. The car was no stranger to Vera. She knew exactly who it belonged to. Who else if not William, her boyfriend who she had not heard from all day.

William got out of the car immediately, stepped quickly to meet Vera and stopped in front of the girl.

"So it's true that you didn't go to campus today?" said Vera, voicing her disappointment.

"I'm sorry." William lowered his voice, trying to calm Vera down. "Get in the car, I'll talk to you later."

"I won't." Vera replied firmly, in a slightly high tone.

William did not give up. "Vera, don't be angry with me."

Vera sighed, "I'm not angry. Actually, what right do I have to be angry with you?"

Hearing that, William offered again, "Then, get in the car."

Vera gave in and finally went along with William's wishes. "Yes, already." She got in the car, and her boy
