Louisa observed William from a distance. The man was confident enough to dare say that to her.

Louisa moved her fingers anxiously, dialing Max who should already be here. Her cell phone screen displayed Max's name flashing, but he didn't pick up the phone immediately. She stared at her phone screen, waiting, amidst the growing hubbub of the crowd.

"Huh, come on, Max!" Louisa growled, her voice almost drowned out by the crowd's cheers. "Are you running away!"

After several attempts, the call finally connected. Louisa spoke immediately without pause, her voice filled with anxiety. "Max, where are you? Why haven't you shown up yet? Didn't you say you were ready to fight William?"

Max, in his low, calm voice, cut her off. "Lou, don't talk so much." He continued, "Here I am at the front."

Louisa immediately turned to the entrance of the arena, looking for any sign of Max's arrival. Sure enough, Max's figure appeared from behind the door, walking confidently towards the ring. The girl smi
