Robert made a hard decision. He knew rough play was no longer working on William. So, instead of confronting William with violence, Robert chose to take a different path. He planned to pretend to make peace with William.

"William!" Robert met him after class was over.

William looked at Robert with a suspicious look, but he didn't want any trouble if his reaction was excessive. "What's wrong?"

Robert sighed. Although he didn't like it, he had to do this. "Vera was angry with me because of yesterday's rights. I was just joking."

Joking?

William couldn't believe that Robert still thought his vicious slander was a joke. He had set William up, making it seem like he had committed a crime against Belinda.

Fortunately, William was now hardly under his grandfather's protection. With a little help, he was able to stop them and now the situation is reversed.

Robert made Vera hate him even more and William was still able to hide his identity.
