Ten days later, Merida finally got the money she needed. She gave the money to Jordan, her boyfriend. Merida knew that Jordan sometimes liked to spend money on unnecessary things, so she felt the need to make sure that the money would be put to good use.

The two of them were out for a walk after class, riding in a car to go somewhere. On the way, Merida began to wonder what Jordan would do with the money.

"I'll use the money to bet," Jordan replied casually.

Merida was surprised to hear Jordan's answer. She knew that betting could be very risky, and she was worried that Jordan might lose all the money.

"Bet? You said bet?" asked Merida, filled with disappointment.

Jordan nodded. "Yes, I entered the bet and the prize was two million dollars. I'm sure I'm lucky enough."

Merida was frustrated. She felt like she had been played by Jordan. She felt that Jordan had abused her trust.

Without thinking, Merida punched Jordan in the arm. "Give me back the money!" she cried, her voice filled wit
