Incoming Call from Merida

It was late at night, William had just settled himself on the soft bed in his apartment. He lay, looking up at the dark ceiling, trying to find peace before finally closing his eyes. The moonlight coming through the window gave a silvery tinge to his tired face.

Suddenly, the sound of a ringing phone broke the silence of the night. In a semi-conscious state, William reached for his phone which was on his bedside table. The phone screen displayed Evan's name. He sighed, then answered it, "Yes, Evan?"

On the other end, Evan's voice was clearly audible, "Sir, your grandfather asked where you will be living next month?" The question made William pause for a moment. He rubbed his temples, trying to formulate an answer in his mind.

As if knowing the doubts William was facing, Evan immediately offered a solution, "Sir, we can buy a house or you can stay in a luxury hotel near your campus."

However, William immediately refused with a firm, "No." He added, "I'll stay in the dormitory."
