Vera Misunderstood

William tried to refuse as politely as possible. "Vera, you shouldn't. You don't need to bother delivering food for me," William said, hoping Vera would understand and not insist anymore. However, Vera seemed unwilling to be rejected so easily. She felt that she had to take responsibility for not wrapping the food for William. She thought William might just be embarrassed to tell her the address of his apartment.

"Just tell me where the address is, I'll come to your place," Vera said. She convinced William to tell her the address.
