The insistent buzz of my phone shattered the fragile peace of my apartment. As I reached for the doorknob, the lingering memory of Zephyr's kiss and the weight of her words hung heavy in the air. Her cryptic warning echoed in my mind, leaving me uncertain and uneasy. Was it genuine concern or a veiled threat veiled?

The caller ID flashed "Charlotte." Relief washed over me like a cool breeze. At least this conversation wouldn't be shrouded in secrets. I answered, hoping for some semblance of normalcy.

"Ben, thank goodness I caught you," Charlotte's voice, usually calm and collected, cracked with urgency. "Get to the Spark Library HQ, now. It's… it's urgent."

Her clipped tone sent a jolt of apprehension through me. "Urgent? What's wrong?"

"I can't say over the phone. It's sensitive. Just get here as soon as possible."
