The crisp night air hit me like a slap as I walked Liam outside. Bentley, a dark silhouette in the passenger seat of his sleek car, rolled down the window. The tension between us thrummed heavy, amplified by the city lights shimmering in the distance.

"So," Bentley drawled, a playful lilt masking the seriousness in his eyes, "enjoyed your little reunion, brother?"
