CHAPTER 14

As soon as he arrived in class, he went straight to his seat to avoid everyone. He wasn’t scared of them, at least not anymore. He just wanted to live his life in peace.

After what happened that day, he felt a bit off looking at his classmates in their faces. He had no energy for unnecessary stress.

“Hey church rat! Nice clothes. Bet you used

Your donation to get yourself new clothes!” Someone suddenly spoke from the back.

Oh, not again. Nathan sighed and facepalmed. But he was relaxed and didn’t panic like before. He simply closed his eyes as he was already tired from yesterday’s event. He didn’t want to entertain more stress. All he wanted was to attend lectures and return home.

After contemplating for a while back at home, Nathan really wanted to simply put on his old outfit. The urge to wear the new clothes he bought was not there. Again, he knew it would bring attention to himself. Either negatively or positively. But he went ahead to wear it.

And he was right.
