As the door clicked shut behind Horus, Alex let out a long, shaky breath. His jaw still throbbed from Nathan's blow, but that wasn't the only thing gnawing at him.

No, what really haunted him was Megan. She had been missing for weeks now, and the more time passed, the worse the gnawing fear in his gut became.

He didn’t know where the fuck she had gone. They were together, things were good. Hell, he’d even started to feel something real for her—maybe too real. Then she just vanished. No call. No message. Nothing. And with Nathan back in the picture, every day that passed made him think the worst.
