The first person to walk out was Enrique. He looked like a man soaked into a camel’s poop and was looking for the person who did it to rip him or her to pieces.

Behind him were Donald, Anita and finally, April Freeman who was confused as to how she was freed and why Nathan was standing there. What was going on?

April’s legs were shaking. She had expected to serve more years in prison. But she was bailed out. Could it be by Nathan? Was that why he was there? Because of her?

‘No! It is not possible. He definitely hates you more than ever before.’ She reassured herself.

Enrique walked up to Nathan sniffing in fresh air like he had never breathed in any before. He got so close to Nathan that Nathan’s security men had to push him away.

Nathan, despite wanting to be quiet, had to speak up first. “You smell like you’ve taken a dip in a sewer,” Nathan remarked, his voice dry and unamused. Enrique’s glare intensified, his face a contorted mask of rage and frustration.

Vivian stiffened, her hands clenched into fists. She took a single step forward, her voice dangerously low. “Justice?” she hissed. “Justice, Nathan? What do you know of justice? You’re just like the rest of us—pretending to be better when, in fact, you’re just a wolf in a different coat.” Nathan smirked, a humourless curve of his lips. “If I’m a wolf, Vivian, then let me make one thing clear,” he replied, his eyes flickering with an icy resolve. “This wolf knows how to hunt. And when the time comes, I’ll be the last thing any of you see.” Silence fell heavily as they all absorbed his words. April, who had been watching quietly, felt her chest tighten, a spark of fear mingling with the old, unresolved feelings she still harboured for Nathan. She opened her mouth, but no words came; her mind raced with questions, guilt, and the sharp realisation that Nathan was here not out of love, not out of nostalgia, but with an agenda as cold and unforgiving as he’d become. Anita finally broke

Anita’s face was streaked with silent tears, her own choices clawing at her conscience. She had been complicit, if not directly, then by association. She had known the truth for so long but stayed, enthralled by the Davenport power and the legacy her family had promised her. She thought back to Henry’s devastated face, his shattered trust on their wedding night, the pain in his eyes as he realised who her family truly was. Henry’s words echoed in her mind, words that had tormented her every night since. “You had a choice, Anita. You could have left, but you didn’t. And now, there’s nothing left for us.” Nathan’s voice softened, but the anger in it still burned. “I would’ve given anything to have just one more day with her, but that’s impossible now because of all of you. This isn’t just a power struggle or a fight over empires. You crossed a line that cannot be uncrossed.” Nathan’s security team stepped forward, sensing the emotional intensity and preparing for anything. But Nat

April reached out, her hand shaking as she tried to touch him, but he stepped away before she could. “You’re right,” she said softly, tears spilling down her face. “But I’m not asking for your forgiveness, just...a chance to prove that I still care. Even if it’s too late.” Nathan’s gaze softened for a fleeting moment, but then he steeled himself once more, his expression hardening. “It is too late, April. There’s nothing left between us. Whatever love I had...died long ago.” He turned his back to her, signalling to his guards. “Nathan please… please..” she cried out in agony as he walked away. As they started to escort her away, April’s sobs filled the empty hallway. She was left with only the hollow ache of regret, watching as Nathan walked further out of her reach—his heart a fortress she would never break into again. But still, she ran after him outside. Unfortunately, Nathan was far gone. As soon as Nathan was about to get into his car, he noticed another person exit a car

Vanessa looked around before entering pushing the door open and quickly shutting it back. She had been taking that risk ever since she had Megan kidnapped and placed inside the old garage down Colton Street. No one really paid any attention to the old garage owned by an old couple. Some mysteries surrounded their death. Some say the old man killed his wife because her mental disorder was beyond his capacity and then he killed himself too. Others said that the couple had been part of some dark dealings in the past, hidden away from the eyes of polite society. They said the couple were drug dealers and when they found out that the authorities were coming for them, they killed themselves to avoid detention. Whatever the story may be, one thing was clear, to date, no one had walked in or out of that door. The police had sealed the house shut forever as a Danger Zone, hence, serving as a burial place for the man and his wife. This was important because the house was cursed. People said

Nathan’s convoy was the longest that London had ever seen in the history of England’ wealth story. Going to pick his sister after 8 years was the most important thing that would happen to him till his death. Many thoughts began to stir within Nathan as he stared out the tinted window of his car, the London skyline passing by in muted shades of grey. Each building, each street, seemed to carry a shadow of his past, ghosts he’d long buried but could still feel lurking. His hands clenched tightly, his jaw set with an intensity that bordered on ferocity. The convoy, an endless line of luxury vehicles, stretched down the streets, causing a stir among onlookers who had no idea the weight of this journey. Every minute that passed felt both like a heartbeat and a lifetime. He was going to see Kamsi again—his sister, the one person who had truly been a part of him, torn away before he even understood what family really meant. The years apart had left him haunted, filled with questions

Nathan didn't say a word. He stood there and let his gaze pierce through each of them, his expression a mask of cold calculation. Silence blanketed the air, thick with tension. The gathered figures shifted uncomfortably, each of them instinctively feeling the chill radiating from him. But they dared not show it. Donald had warned them to act as tough as possible and not show weakness in front of Nathan Reed. Donald broke the silence first, a sly smile tugging at his lips as he stepped forward, hands in his pockets, trying to play the image of casual superiority. “Nathan, my good man, you’ve come a long way,” he drawled, his tone dripping with mock courtesy. “I assume you understand the… terms we discussed?” Nathan’s eyes barely flickered, but his mind took in every detail—the smug glances shared between Hearst and Vivian, the way Anastasia’s hand curled possessively around Dave’s arm and Enrique’s barely veiled sneer. He felt a surge of something primal in his chest, a reminder t

"Kamsi," Nathan said softly, taking a step forward, his voice as steady as he could make it. He could not hold back his tears as he saw his beloved little sister, Kamsi. His tears were hotter than the sun. He began to walk to her slowly, pacing with so much emotions that his feet were trembling. This was his little girl. She had grown big. Memories of when they were little orphans treated like trash and sneaking bread to share came flooding back, piercing through his hardened exterior. Each step forward was a battle against the weight of their shared past, the laughter and tears they'd once held close as a fragile shield against a world that had abandoned them. Kamsi was the only person who could make him break down in this manner, reduce all of his confidence to the very last level. Afterall, she was all he lived for, the very bane of his existence. But as he reached out, Kamsi flinched, pulling back with a look that shattered him more than he could ever admit. There was fear in h

“Oh, Nathan Reed. You have lost, why can you not see this? Huh? You have lost everything, including your sister. You think she was joking when she said she could shoot you?” Donald’s tone became more threatening and serious. Nathan scoffed. “Lies!” Donald scoffed back, stretched out his hand, and his guard standing beside him reached for the pistol in his coat and handed it over to his boss. Donald took it and then leaned in and whispered into Nathan’s ear. “You are about to find out the truth. Do not worry, there is no bullet in it.” Then he walked over to Kamsi. “Daughter, I know how much you have suffered because of him,” Donald said, his voice smooth, almost fatherly as he held out the pistol. “He abandoned you. Left you in the dark while he lived his life. If you really want to make him feel your pain, Kamsi, this is your chance.” Kamsi’s trembling hand reached for the gun, her eyes locked on Nathan’s, burning with a mixture of hatred and hurt. Nathan’s heart sank as he saw

“What now? You’re gonna leave me here to die away? Huh? Is that how you forgive? And I don’t need your fucking forgiveness, you hear me?” “You are still a loser. Look what it took you to get here! You lost Fred, lost your employees, lost your wife, lost your sister! You are a loser, Nathan, and it will always be that way! Go on, walk away like you always do, but what I said just now is the truth, okay?” Alex roared out in agony and pain, trying to break free. His words kept opening a wound in Nathan’s heart. A wound that he was trying to heal, a wound he would spend a trillion dollars to completely close up. But Alex did not give a damn! He needed to lash out his own anger and cries. “I would kill you over and over again, brother. Our father was an asshole just like you. He hated me, he could not bear the responsibility of a son from his janitor. And I am the product of that disgusting intimacy, Nathan.” Alex’s voice broke. He didn’t want it to, but it did. His entire body shook,

  • CHAPTER 429 (GRANDE FINALE)

Alex Reed struggled to breathe as hard as he struggled to see. He looked around and could barely see a thing. He was in a dark room and whoever the fuck put him there was merciful enough to place a dim light above his head, just enough for him to see his own breath. He tried to move, but his body was numb, and yes, he was tied to a chair, so he could not move. He had been captured. He tried to recall the last incident that happened to him. He was in his car, driving to the airport for his departure, and then he was drinking… Yes. He was poisoned by a man who was not Mark, his driver. Someone had ambushed him, and now, he was tied up to a stupid chair when he was supposed to be on the seat of his private jet. Clearly, it was Megan. Alex had been humiliated to the core already. He had Vanessa slap him ruthlessly in public, diminishing his pride, lowering his esteem in front of the whole world. Then, he had Emma threaten him. This was not right. This was not the Alex he had envision

Marcus’s breath hitched. His heart pounded in his ears, drowning out the sound of the wind rustling through the trees. His fingers curled into fists, and for the first time in years, he felt something he had long buried—fear. His lips parted slightly, but no words came. April, oblivious to the storm brewing within Marcus, stared at Neil’s grave with a mixture of shock and grief. “Neil…” she whispered, her voice cracking. “I—I didn’t even know he was buried here. I mean, I heard he was killed. And whoever did it, death to the person.” Mr. Frost said nothing. He simply stood there, his hands in his coat pockets, his head slightly tilted, watching Marcus the way a lion watches its prey—patient, unhurried, and inevitable. “You seem shaken, Marcus,” Mr. Frost finally said, his voice smooth, almost amused. “Why?” Marcus forced a dry chuckle. “I just… I wasn’t expecting this,” he lied. “It’s just bringing back memories.” “Ah,” Mr. Frost nodded, taking a slow step toward Neil’s grave.

  • CHAPTER 427 (FINALE)

“You said you wanted to see me?” Asked Marcus, panting. He had been running. He dared not disappoint Mr. Frost or make him wait. Especially because Mr. Frost had been cold towards him for a while. Marcus was not sure why Mr Frost would tell him to meet him at the cemetery. He literally just returned from a journey, not a vacation trip, a work trip to Dubai and he had been there for over 1 month, alone and away from all social connections, online and offline. “Did you bring your girlfriend as I requested?” asked Mr. Frost. “Yes I did, sir.” Marcus responded and signalled for April to come over. This was yet another strange thing. Why did he request for April too? April walked up to them and greeted Mr. Frost respectfully. Mr. Frost looked into her eyes and smiled, the type of smile that came from past lives and would live on for millions of years. His smile was so endearing, thought April, the very first day she met him. There was an aura he exuded that was so… so familiar, so

Mr. Frost stood there, silently allowing the breeze to softly kiss his tender skin. Tender? No, more like rough and craggy. In this context, many people would say he had been through hell and back. But this was not the case for Mr. Frost. He lived in hell, ate in hell, cried in hell, burnt in hell, revived, burnt again, defeated demons, defeated the devil himself, and took over control. But he was close. He was this close to losing it, this close to becoming the very thing that destroyed him. His life had been a mystery, a story that could cover over 2,000 pages and 400 chapters. If only he had been writing a story of his life, or at least just documenting some specific events or even writing a journal, then it might probably be the best selling book in the New York Times or even in the entire world. Maybe he would title it, “The Man Who Survived Hell and Ruled It.” or “A Man Called Revenge!” He scoffed. He gulped down his bottle of wine as he reminisced back to early orphan

“I… I’m sorry, Loulou. But this is it! You remember when you I used to carry that firewood back in Egypt? And then, I would… I would, um, fall and trip over? Then you would say, ‘Abni, adhhab wastriha. ead ghadan wasawf takun 'aqwaa’?” “Then I would run back home and cry. Ha!” Alex sniffed in. “I think this is the time, Loulou. I am falling. I am tripping over, and I cannot stand by and watch all that we have built crumble. I have no one left, Loulou. Vanessa has left me, Megan she… she is a fucking snake and had been a betrayer.” “All the people I called friends are fucking leeches. Parasites. I will be returning back to Egypt, Mom, but not for long. I will be back. Stronger and better.” Cozbi just lay there, eyes shut, breathing slow and paced. Alex was not sure when she would wake up or if leaving her was the right decision. But he smelled danger. First of all, Vanessa had actually been around all those times, and then Megan, whom he thought was going to be his salvation, turned

“Sir! Someone is here to see you!” George, his right hand man said. Donald was raging. He had been grinding his teeth for days now. What was going on? Him, Donald Arthur, one of the most feared men in the city, lost a fight to his useless son and to a little girl. He felt like a laughingstock. He had built his empire with blood, sweat, and absolute ruthlessness. He had crushed men who dared to stand in his way. He had destroyed families without blinking. And now? He had lost to them? To a boy who once cowered before him and a girl he never even considered a threat? Unacceptable. His fingers curled into fists, his knuckles turning white as he forced himself to breathe. He had been grinding his teeth so much that his jaw ached. "Who is it?" Donald snapped, his voice sharp as a blade. George hesitated. "He… uh, he didn’t give a name, sir. But he said you'd want to see him." Donald exhaled sharply, rubbing his temples. "If this is another damn journalist or some lowlife trying

Alex’s body went numb for two reasons. Firstly, her stomach was bloated. Secondly, it was Vanessa. His eyes bulged out, and he looked to Megan, who gave him a sly smile. Finally, their eyes interlocked. Alex could breathe her anger. It was like he was standing next to a fire, a hot lava, and one push from an inauspicious wind could lead to an untimely death. “You!” he said to Megan before taking slow steps to his ex, who was not official. Finally, they were sharing the same oxygen and staring eyeball to eyeball. “V.. Vanessa. I… Look, I know that…” Slap! Alex held his face. He felt humiliated. But he had to try one more time. “Vanessa. Whatever you think is not true. I…” Slap! Slap again. Slap the fourth time. This got onlookers making videos of the lady slapping the man at the airport. Alex could do nothing. He was trapped. His security guards were not with him, and he was in an open space; he could not raise hand or voice against a pregnant woman. “5 months, Alex Reed. 5

2 Weeks Later ‘Beep’ ’Beep’ ‘Beep’ The machines hymned rhythmically, echoing into the four walls of the hospital room. Cozbi’s situation did not seem to be getting any better. It was, in fact, worsening. Alex thumped his head on the wall repeatedly. “I told her! I fucking told her! I fucking told her not to meet with Mr. Frost. Now she has a fucking heart attack.” Alex roared, curled his fist into a ball, and punched the wall. But it only left him with a pulverised hand. “She will be fine,” said Megan to comfort him. “Do not tell me she will be fine. It’s been two weeks now, and my mother had not even lifted a finger. I knew her coming to the UK was a big red flag. And you,” Alex continued, focusing his attention on Megan, “You knew she was going in to see Mr. Frost, that… that god… or whatever his fucking title is. Yet you not only approved of it, you even went in with her. All of that without my consent!” Alex roared. Then Megan stood up and walked to him. “Alex, do not
