Ann had mixed reactions seeing Nathan’s call on her phone. She was excited, but at the same time, she was scared. Has something bad happened? Was she in trouble? Or perhaps his apartment has some issues?

Ignoring those thoughts, she went ahead and picked up the phone before she would make the mistake of keeping the CEO waiting.

“Hello, sir Reed. Greetings to you. I hope you are having a lovely day?” she asked thoughtlessly.

“Ann, what is lovely about the day when you can’t give proper orientation to your security men on how to treat strangers?” Nathan asked furiously, but his voice was calm and stoic.

Ann’s heart leapt to her chest. What had gone wrong? What did the security men do?

“I'll be right with you in no time, Sir Reed” Ann said and quickly dashed out of her office to address the issue she knew nothing about. All she knew was that at this point, anything that would make sir Reed to be this furious would not be a light matter to handle. It could be a death sentence.
