Mira was doing all her best to fight herself free from the strong grip of Achiel on her waist, but Achiel didn't seem like he cared. He kept holding firmly unto her until the three men got to them. "I must have contracted a sort of disease. An eye disease, I guess. Or perhaps I am not in my right mind. I must be seeing things. I think I must be in a trance." Harold started, halting directly opposite Achiel and Mira.Mira was acting as though she wished that the earth would pave beneath her and she would be swallowed up. "I can't believe this. Is this real?" Marion scoffed, looking from Achiel to Mira. Mira had dropped her gaze, but Achiel looked at the three men straight in the eyes. "Damn, this is really crazy." Fabien decided to take his turn. Achiel remained standing there for a while. When he realised that they wouldn't say any other thing that made sense, he decided to make a walk for it; Mira still in his arms. "Where do you think you are going?" Harold stood in his way.
Harold quickly looked away from Eric to Achiel,"I had no idea that the standard of this restaurant had depleted so baldy." Harold said, sneering at Achiel. "Depleted? What do you mean by that, Mr Harold?" Eric sounded concern as he traced the sneer on Harold's face to Achiel. "Isn't it obvious? If this is the Valion that I used to know, I don't think there would be any chance for a riff-raff to stand at the front of the restaurant. Let alone two riff-raffs!" Harold cussed loudly. Achiel knew who Harold had referred to as riff-raffs. Eric looked from Harold to Achiel. Eric also understood the situation. "Let's not get carried away by unimportant things. Please come with me to my office." Eric said, smiling at Harold. "Well, if this is up to me, I would have loved to see these bastards beaten to pulp, but I think that will just be a waste of resources. I can't afford to squander a dime of mine on someone as worthless as this piece of shit and the lady next to him!" Harold's hate b
"And that's by the way. May I know why you are here, though? I believe that you had no idea of what I had just told you. Was there a reason you came here?" Eric asked. then slowly looked away from Harold to Marion. "Your brother said that it was something very important. I want to believe that it is not something quite serious, is it?" Eric pushed even further. Eric had his own fears, but he didn't want that to be obvious to the sons of Madam. He would be foolish to reveal his vulnerability to his potential enemies. After asking the question, suddenly, Harold pushed his body forward in the seat. The haughty look that had lingered on his face for a while was swept off by a mild counterpart. Whatever what was coming, Eric knew for sure that it must be something very demanding and quite important. He could only expect what the next sequence of sentences would be. "I don't know how to go about this." Harold stuttered, trying to get a hang of the words. "Well, you might as well start
Achiel and Mira were in the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita, which was still parked at the front of the eight star Valion Restuarant. They seemed to be having a sort of revolving conversation. Suddenly, Achiel's phone started to ring. He didn't want to take the call seriously in the first place, but then he got a hunch to check it out. He slowly brought the phone out to check who the caller was. As soon as he realised who it was, he lifted his gaze at the shy Mira,"It's Eric calling." Achiel said to her. "Eric? Who's Eric? Oh, the manager?" Mira sounded startled as she tried to link the words together. "You should answer it. You didn't have to tell me." Mira said to him, hardly looking him in the eyes. Achiel looked casually away from her as he answered the call. He was looking towards the entrance of the restaurant."Do I have to wait for you forever?" Achiel scolded as he answered the call. There was a response from the other end, which was not audible to the other person in the car.
"We should give grandma an audience now!" Someone in the hall said, his masculine voice louder than the rest. All attention went in the direction of the voice. Doris was the most worried as soon as she saw the person who had just spoken. It was her husband. George. She always worried whenever George was the centre of attention. She didn't want him to bring ridicule to himself, let alone to her, and by extension their family. But then it was quite hard to tell who was more scared between her and her mother when it came down to that very argument."Don't you think that saying that is an insult to grandma?" A young man jumped up to tackle George. The man was wearing a pair of Thompson suits. He looked very rich and defined. He had a good proportion, and his smile was a little harsh. He was one of the son-in-laws of Jones's family. His name was Felix. Lately, Felix had been watching closely how George would randomly jump up and stake a claim. George was just a son-in-law, just like hi
Holy Moly! There were a kabillion reasons for everyone to be handed over to shock. All jaws dropped to the marbled floor of the White Hall. Not one second went by without a myriad of goosebumps trampling the paths of the skins. "What insolence!!!" Jones's father roared, his voice as though he would pull the roof off the hall. "How dare you barge into this hall in the middle of a meeting?! Has Marie thought you no manners at all?" Jones's father was on his feet, glaring flames at Achiel. "Even if you hold none of us in no regard, do you also think so lowly of grandmother?! Have you had a pact with the devil? Is that why you are so brazen and dismissive, or are you just being foolish?!" Jones's father was not willing to spare the rod. It seemed as though his rod was made out of iron. One of the reasons why the man was restless was because Achiel had returned. Grandmother had sent the family of Madam away. She had cut Marie off from the business of the family! Though, Grandmother
"What!!!!" A scream rang across the whole hall. At that moment, the concern was not who made that loud and ear ripping scream! It was much more about what this maid had just said. Everyone was stunned speechless. "No! I won't have this anymore!!! I can't!!!" Jones's father yelled, hitting the table with his fist. He pushed his way out of the encircle of his family area. "Mother, if you refuse to put these fools in their place, then I don't think I will just stand by as the eldest of your children!" The man kept yelling. "I understand that you are doing all your best to respect Father and keep this lad around. I understand that you keep telling yourself that what Father said about this lad will come true one day, but today is when it all ends!" The man yawped, his face was turning dead red. "I can't just stand by and watch as this crazy kids make a fun of you, insulting your patience! This must be some sort of joke to them to think they can randomly make things up!" As Jones's f
There was a wave of hullabaloo that swept across the hall for a few moments. Achiel had just yelled over the phone. He had just made a call. The call he had made wasn't the concern. The major concern that got the people talking was the name that Achiel had mentioned over the phone!"Did he just say Eric?" Someone randomly called. Not many people care about who had spoken. "Eric? Who is Eric?" Someone else asked. "I'm not sure of what to think. There are so many Eric's. But I'm certain that it's definitely not the Eric that we are all thinking about." Jones defended blindly. Achiel just kept Mira in his arms. He didn't care about what the people were talking about. "Grandmother." Doris called at the top of her voice. "I know that I am in no position to say this, but I'm not sure if I can keep quiet anymore." Doris took a pause. "She's always not in the position." Someone muttered, sneering at Doris. Doris didn't hear the person, so it wasn't much of her concern. She continued wi
