Chapter Fourty

"We'll need some time to review the evidence," Anthony finally stated as he reached for the folder and opened it.

Before giving it to his secretary to check its authenticity, he wanted to examine it himself first.

Marcus nodded understandingly. "I can only give you a few minutes. I have an appointment after this."

Fiona furrowed her brows, her curiosity was piqued. "An appointment?"

"I have a film to shoot," Marcus replied nonchalantly.

Fiona's eyes widened as she absorbed this new information, while Anthony's focus remained locked onto the folder.

"You're an actor?" Fiona inquired, unable to contain her curiosity as she scrutinized Marcus once again.

She thought Marcus was a worker that her daughter met coincidentally, and him being an actor never crossed Fiona's mind at all.

'Is he an extra?' she thought.

"Yes, this is my first project," Marcus replied, confirming Fiona's guess.

'He must be really an extra. What does he have a connection with that Thornwood mansion?' Fiona thought,
