Chapter Sixty-Seven

"Just how much of a bastard can you be, Chandler?" Harold finally spoke. "Evelyn, it's okay. Tell everyone just what kind of person your ex-husband is!" Harold told Evelyn as he caressed her back, comforting the trembling Evelyn.

"Evelyn, what's wrong? Why are you trembling?" Chandler stepped closer to Evelyn, but suddenly Harold went in front of him.

"I tried to be patient with you, Chandler because you were my best friend but hurting a woman because she doesn't want to be with you anymore?"

Harold glared at Chandler, and his fist was trembling with anger, Chandler was about to believe all of this when he saw a wicked grin playing on Harold's face.

Chandler felt something was fishy.

"Evelyn, babe, it's fine. I am here. Don't be afraid, tell us the truth," Harold said as he caressed Evelyn.

It didn't last long as Evelyn started producing fake tears and told everyone the concocted story she and Harold had agreed upon.
