Mr Ford rolled his eyes and faced Moore, he turned a deaf ear to their pleas.
"Please let's go into my office." He said to Moore. He nodded and followed him. They stopped in front of an office, a tag was attached to the door, 'The President's Office' was ascribed on it. Mr Ford opened the door, Moore went in and he followed."Take your seat Mr Moore." He offered, Moore sat down, then he proceeded to his seat and also sat down."I am very sorry for the way you were treated today." "They are both irresponsible, how can they treat a customer that way? I don't know what would have happened if you weren't there." "I am sorry once again." He apologized again."It's fine." Moore replied and rested his back against the chair."I have already made your golden card." Mr Ford informed, he paused and opened his drawer, then he brought it out."Here is it." He said stretching it out to him, Moore collected it and smiled. He checked it out one million times. He has never imagined that he would see the golden card without having it."Thank you Mr Ford." Moore appreciated it, he stood up and shook hands with him."It's nothing sir." Mr Ford replied, Moore turned to the door and walked out.He was surprised to see Mr Bright and the clerk at the reception, they ran to him immediately they sighted him coming."Please help me, I have a lot of bills to pay, I have a family I cater for, please help us plead with the president. I promise you that it won't ever happen again." Mr Bright pleaded with tears."I am sorry for my behavior towards you, I will make amends but please help us plead with him, he is going to forgive us if you plead with him on our behalf." The clerk pleaded."Why will you want me to beg him for you? Sincerely speaking, you don't deserve our forgiveness. What if I wasn't recognised, is that how you would disgrace and that would be the end of it?." He questioned."Mr Moore, look I sincerely apologize for what happened a few minutes ago, I wasn't in a good mood this afternoon, so I took it out on you. Ask around. I have never done it to anybody, please forgive me." Mr Bright apologized."Yes he is right sir, we have never done that to anybody before. I was angry with you because we have been calling you but you refused to pick and when you came we couldn't deduct the money from your account that was why I flared up. Please forgive me." The clerk stated. "I apologized for what we did but please help us retain our jobs, we are giving you our words that it will never happen ever again." Mr Bright apologized sincerely as he held onto his leg, the clerk did the same thing.Moore looked round the room, the scenario of what happened flashed through his memory."No, I am not going to apologize for them, they would repeat what they did." He thought and retrieved his leg from them.Moore looked at them with a smirk, a devilish laugh followed and he walked out.His phone rang immediately he got out, it was from his friend. He picked it at once."Hey man, how are you doing?." Moore greeted."I'm fine, just wanted to remind you about the job fair coming up today at the college." He reminded."Oh thank you, I will be there right now." He replied and hung the call. Although he wasn't a student of the college anymore, he wanted to sneak in, in order to find a job but he had another choice. He called his butler immediately. He drove into the job fair center, he came down and walked in, the first people he sighted first were Fiona and her new boyfriend. They sitted on a post, they were actually actually hiring students there. A lot of students were also there because it's a very good company.Moore saw his three friends there. Eric, Bethel and Sam saw Fiona, they were happy and surprised, they walked up to her with a big smile with the hope of getting a job there."Hi Fiona." They greeted in unison, Fiona raised up her head."Hello, what can I do for the three of you." She asked nonchalantly, they noticed her behavior but they buried it and smiled."We would love to be employed into this company, we know you can help us with that." Bethel stated."With your help, we know we would be hired." Sam said."and also you are Moore's girlfriend so why won't you help us." Eric joked, that got Fiona really angry."What is wrong with all of you? How can you just come here and start spitting rubbish all over this place, that place looks like a ranting center to you?." She scolded in anger. The three of them were taken aback for what she just said. Fiona has never spoken to them in that manner before. They wondered what makes her behave like that."Have we done something wrong?." Sam asked with a soft voice."No." Fiona replied sharply."So why were you insulting us, the last time I checked you have never spoken to us the way you did today so what really made you do that?." Sam asked with a furrowed brow."Who are you to question, and that was when I was still dating Moore but now he is my past." She announced, they were shocked to hear that."What happened?." Eric asked."I can't continue to date a useless fellow who has nothing to offer me. He is useless, poor and he doesn't deserve me at all. I am totally done with him." She bursted out."If you are very close to Moore then there is 99% assurance that you won't get a job here." She announced, they were shocked at her utterances.Moore's eyes turned red as he heard all that Fiona said to everyone. He felt a thorn in his heart."I can't believe Fiona could say all these after everything I have done for her. I was the foolish one." Moore muttered with a clenched jaw.He was about to say something when he heard Sam's voice."Why did you have to speak ill of someone who trained you to where you are? You should be called the useless one here, not Moore." Sam snapped at her."Moore did everything possible just for you to be better than him, you got everything and all you could think of was to write him off and break up with him. You are a big fool Fiona." Eric yelled at her in anger."I don't blame you, I blame Moore for everything. If only he listened to us then, then you won't be able to insult him the way you did. We don't even want a job from a scum like you Fiona." Bethel shouted and spit on her.Fiona was very angry at what was said to her."They are not even afraid of the position I am in. I won't let this sl
Moore pushed the security men aside, shoved his hand into his pocket and brought out his card. He showed everyone the card."Well, this card was given to me by the host of this job fair which means I am an employer not someone who is looking for a job. I am sure Fiona and her new found love has the card too, So why do I have to get kicked out by my fellow employer?." He stated with a cool and soft voice. He still retains his gentleness after everything."That is not possible, you can't be in the same position I am, which means this card is fake." Fiona kicked against it immediately.."It is an original card and not fake." He tried to defend himself, even though he knew Fiona wouldn't accept."No, it is a fake card." Fiona shouted loudly, the securities rushed in immediately."This fool here claimed to be an employer here, then he brought out a card and showed me which I surely know is fake while our cards are original. I don't know where he got it from but I am sure that he stole it
Moore and his friends sat in a circle as they gist about things. Suddenly, Moore's ringing tone interrupted the conversation. He shoved his right hand into his pocket, brought out his phone and checked the caller ID. He was surprised to see it was Mr Gilbert. "Excuse me please, I need to pick this call." He excused himself and left for an empty space before picking it. "Mr Gilbert, how are you doing?." He greeted with a solemn voice. "I'm fine, where are you young master?." He asked. "I am at the college job fair center." He replied immediately. "I need to see you, please meet me at Loyalty restaurant right now." He demanded. "No problem, I will meet you there in a few minutes." The call ended. He walked back to where his friends were with an apologetic expression on his face. "Guys please I need to leave now an emergency just came up. I will see you later." He apologized. "There is no problem, we will meet up later." Sam said with a smile. They exchanged greetings before h
Mr Gilbert ushered Moore in, the workers were in awe to see him do that to a poor person. He has never done it to a rich fellow like him. "Who do you think he is?." A waiter asked her colleague. "I don't know, I haven't seen him here before?." "He must be really important for boss to usher him in with a beautiful smile." "I agree to that." The waiters concluded and watched them in full concentration. They entered the private lounge which had dim colorful balls and bulbs. It was beautiful, sofas were perfectly arranged, there was also a table for two people on a date, but he wasn't on a date. Maybe he was on a date with Mr Gilbert. He smiled at his silly thoughts and looked around. "This is beautiful." Moore complimented before settling himself on a sofa. "Yes it is." He replied. "So, why did you call me here? I was actually having a meeting with my friends." Moore stated in a hush voice. "I am sorry Moore, but we need to talk about important things. Firstly, what will you li
Having lots of thoughts in his mind, couldn't think straight. He slapped his head with his palm thinking he could regain his memory. Maybe he could remember something or someone, but that method didn't work.Of truly someone was behind it then there would be a clue. His eyes widened when he discovered that he was about to collide with a car, he quickly maneuvered towards an empty space, fortunately, his plan was successful. He pulled the car to a stop and placed his hand on his chest as he breathed heavily. Moore thought he was going to lose his life but he managed to save the other driver and his life. He waited for some minutes before driving off but this time his full concentration was on the road. He spotted a bar after driving for minutes."This would help." He said to himself, pulled over at the bar's garage, came down and walked in.He took a seat in front of the bartender."What would you like to have?. A waiter asked."Get me a bottle of whisky." He ordered in a lower tone. T
Claudia parked her car properly, removed the key and rested her head on the head board. "I hope they will believe me." She thought and sighed heavily before walking out of the car. Her heart was beating faster than normal for the fear of the unknown, as she got to the entrance she quickly stopped walking, with the fear that something bad would happen. Her face got pale immediately, the fear she was trying to hide embraced her. "Should I go in?." She questioned herself, sweats started gagging up on her forehead due to the fear. "What should I do? I don't want to go in now." She feared the more, she started pacing to and fro to ease the fear. After a few minutes, she decided to go in. The guards opened the door for her. The family members were sitting on the sofa, her parents ( Frank and Georgia), her grandfather Derek and her cousin Alfred sat on the sofa by the left. They all tilted their necks towards the door as Claudia entered absentmindedly, she froze when she raised up her
Moore could see how things were displaying, his memories rushing in like a wind. He staggered back a bit. Mr Gilbert was passing by when he saw the back view of Moore. "Stop." He commanded the driver, and the car was stopped immediately. The door was opened immediately, he got out and walked towards the incident. Moore jolted as he felt a warm hand on his shoulders, he quickly turned to see who it was despite his headache. "Uncle Sam." Moore called, he could remember that he used to call him that when he was young because he gave him the name when his dearest puppy died. Mr Gilbert was shocked. "You remember now?." Mr Gilbert asked in surprise, Moore nodded. "Finally, you remember me." He shouted and hugged him tightly. They broke out from the hug a few seconds later, it was a happy moment for the two men. "Let's go to the car." He said when people's eyes were on them. "How did you end up with that girl?." Mr Gilbert asked with a furrowed brow after watching a short clip on hi
It was the third day, the atmosphere seemed cool and calm, Claudia was happy that her grandfather didn't say anything about bringing Moore to the house anymore, on the other hand, she was sad that he didn't say anything at all, not even a word about it. "Mum, do you think Dad has forgotten about everything?." Claudia asked her Mum who was sitting beside her on the sofa. "I don't know my child, I'm afraid for you what if he decides to do something else, one thing is certain, he hasn't forgotten about it. Just prepare your mind about what will come." Georgia stated and took a deep breath. Claudia and her Mum started hearing footsteps coming from the staircase. They knew who it was before tilting their neck towards that direction. Derek and Alfred were in the middle of a conversation but they couldn't hear anything because of the distance. "Since you ve gotten everything you needed, then go and do the needful." Derek said, that was what they could hear since they've finished climbing
