Chapter Forty Six

The evening enveloped Alex and Sarah in its gentle embrace as they strolled along the quiet path, hand in hand. The moon hung high in the sky, casting a soft glow over the landscape around them.

"It's moments like these that make everything feel alright, even if just for a little while," Alex mused, his voice soft as he squeezed Sarah's hand gently.

Sarah smiled up at him, her eyes reflecting the moon's ethereal light. "Yes, it's like the world slows down, and we can just be," she replied, her tone filled with warmth.

As they continued walking, they came upon a secluded bench nestled beneath a canopy of trees. The sight of it seemed to beckon them, inviting them to pause and take a moment to rest.

"Shall we?" Alex asked, gesturing toward the bench with a smile.
