Chapter Seventy Nine

The stale air of the airplane pressed down on Sarah as they landed at the Phnom Penh International Airport. Stepping outside, a wall of heat and humidity slapped them in the face. The cacophony of unfamiliar languages and the throngs of bustling people were a far cry from the quiet order they were accustomed to.

"Welcome to Cambodia," Alex murmured, wiping sweat from his brow.

They navigated customs, relying on a hastily downloaded translation app to decipher the signs and communicate with the officials. The process was slow and frustrating, but eventually, they emerged into the chaotic airport terminal.

A wiry man with a weathered face and a mischievous glint in his eyes approached them. He wore a worn khaki shirt and a wide-brimmed hat that cast a shadow over his features.
