Kadmiel’s presence radiated power and fury. His eyes burned with cold intensity. And the air around him seemed to be cold and had with it barely restrained violence.

The auction house buzzed with a current of unease as Kadmiel walked through its grand doors. Murmurs rippled through the crowd like waves crashing against a rocky shore.

Patrons whispered in shock and awe, their eyes growing wider and their mouth opening as they recognized who he was.

This was not just a return, it was an event that set the city crazy with speculation and fear. Kadmiel’s presence was magnetic but brought about unsettling thoughts.

Years ago, his name had been synonymous with scandal. The incident had forced him into the military, tarnishing his beautiful reputation.

Now, he had returned, not as a broken man but as a prophet of judgement. His posture was rigid, his eyes scanning the room with a fierce determination that yelled unresolved vengeance.

As Kadmiel moved through the large and spacious hall, the silence was tangible. The glimmering chandeliers cast a cold, unforgiving light over the faces of the auction house’s patrons.

They were a mix of wealthy elites and influential figures in the society, their usual air of superiority now tinged with apprehension.

Amongst them, the Wang family member, a slightly chubby man with a cruel smile, stepped forward. His presence was a declaration of contempt, and his voice cut through the silent murmur of the crowd.

“So, the infamous Kadmiel finally shows his face,” he sneered, his voice dripping with hatred and disgust.

“What do you expect to achieve here? Redemption? You are nothing but a pitiful excuse for a man.”

The crowd’s whispers grew louder, turning into an almost audible noise.

Many believed Kadmiel’s return was important. He had come seeking something that seemed unattainable, perhaps even courting his own death.

The Wang family member’s taunts were calculated to provoke, aiming to undermine Kadmiel’s authority and mock his very presence.

Kadmiel’s eyes narrowed, a dark resolve settling over him.

His mind was consumed by thoughts of his sister, who was still in the cage on the stage in the auction house, suffering.

The weight of his failure felt like a physical burden, each step toward her a reminder of the time lost. The Wang family member’s words were a bitter reminder of the power and cruelty he faced.

“The Wang family, one of the Four Great Families, drove your parents to their graves,” the man continued, his voice rising with venom that seemed to sting Kamdiel in the most vulnerable places.

“And now, we are here to ensure you follow them. Unless you kneel and beg for mercy, by licking my shoes, and hand over your sister to me, you will die here today.”

The taunt was more than Kadmiel could bear. His anger, fueled by years of suffering and loss, erupted. He advanced toward the Wang family member with a fury that seemed to radiate within him.

The auction house’s wealth contrasted starkly with the violence that was about to unfold.

Without a touch of hesitation, Kadmiel launched himself at the man, his fist connecting with the Wang family member’s face in a brutal, decisive strike.

The force of the blow was explosive, echoing through the grand hall as the man crumpled to the floor, lifeless.

The room fell into stunned silence. The guests, once filled with joy and excitement, were now paralyzed by shock and fear.

Kadmiel’s face was a mask of determination, his gaze sweeping over the remaining crowd. “Clear the auction house,” he commanded his subordinates, his voice cutting through the heavy silence. “Now.”

Panic swept through the crowd as patrons scrambled to flee. The once chic venue turned chaotic, the glittering lights casting dancing shadows over the frightened faces.

Crystal glasses shattered and silks rustled as people trampled over each other in their haste to escape. Kamdiel’s enemies, however, remained unmoved.

Their expressions were gloomy, their eyes fixed on Kadmiel with a mix of satisfaction and anticipation.

The Four Great Families had seen their chance to crush their foe after so many years, and they were determined to seize it.

As the last of the fleeing crowd vanished into the night, the members of the Four Great Families emerged from the shadows.

Their faces were mean and stern, their expressions a mixture of disdain and calculated coldness. They were formidable, their presence a contrast to the chaotic remnants of the auction house.

They circled Kadmiel, their voices low and threatening, murmuring demands for his death.

“You’re a fool if you think you can take us on,” one of them spat, his voice sharp and tempting.

“You’re outnumbered and outmatched. Surrender now, or face the consequences.”Kadmiel’s fists clenched at his sides, his knuckles grew cold with tension.

His gaze was unyielding, his resolve as solid as steel. “I’m here for vengeance,” he declared, his voice ringing with determination.

“For my parents and for everyone you’ve wronged. I won’t back down.”

The auction house manager, a man with a sly smile and calculating eyes, stepped forward with an air of false confidence.

“We’ve prepared for this,” he said smoothly. “Over a hundred men are on their way. They’re armed and ready to deal with you.”

As if on cue, the doors to the auction house burst open, revealing a sea of heavily armed enforcers.

Their synchronized movements and menacing stances were a clear declaration of their intent. The sight of them was very intimidating. Each man was clad in dark, imposing clothes, their weapons gleaming under the harsh lights. The air grew thick with tension as the armed men advanced, their steps echoing threatingly through the grand hall. The auction house, once a symbol of luxury and high society, was now a battleground.

Kadmiel’s breathing was steady, his eyes locked on the approaching force. The odds seemed to be overwhelmingly against him, but his determination burned brighter than ever.

He knew this battle would be fierce and unforgiving, but he was prepared to face whatever came his way.

In that moment, the auction house was transformed into a crucible of conflict. Kadmiel stood alone against the overwhelming force, his heart steeled by the desire for justice.

The coming battle would definitely be brutal, a test of his resolve and strength. The stage was set for a confrontation that would not only determine his fate but also the course of all he had sworn to protect, his sister and his dead parents.
