CHAPTER 7: DEMON SLAVE

Who's bombing them?! Xcerox landed smoothly after the throw. Same for Gizelis and Nish. They were quite startled by Zeliker's quick action in saving them.

"Why did he save us?" Nish was still doubting it.

Royal demons as he knows throughout history had never given compassion to anyone. They were selfish, arrogant, wick and so evil. They were nightmares to humans.

"Nish, on your right!" Xcerox yelled at him.

Instantly, Nish pulled out his sword and clashed with a sharp polearm that was aimed at his head.

The enemies are here!

A lot of demons came out of the bush near them. All of them were wearing a slave collars. Zeliker was fighting with Enta who appeared again with another demon. He has no intention to help Xcerox and the others. His hands were full.

"You got me into trouble with my master!" Enta scolded Zeliker.

Zeliker smirks. "I thought I was helping you get free."

He kicks Enta away while dodging a blast of wind tornado. The blast was made by the other demon.

"Enta, isn't he a royal demon?!" The demon looks at Enta for confirmation.

Enta shrugged. "Don't ask me. I've never met one."

He balled his hand into a fist and fired out a blast of thunder from it towards Zeliker. Zeliker didn't dodge it this time. He summons out a shield to protect himself.

The demon beside Enta gawked. It was because the summoning shield has a symbol on it.

"Damn the devil! He's the missing Flink' prince! Everyone stops!" The demon shouts at the seven demons around.

"Flink's prince?!"

The demons instantly stop and jump away from their respective opponents. When they were back near Kion, the demon who shouted to them stared at Zeliker in wonder.

"Is he really a demon's prince?"

"He has black hair with abilities, so, shouldn't it be him?"

"Wow, a demon's prince..."

"I can feel a tremendous power from him."

Every demon was awed.

"You guys, what are you doing?! Our masters will be mad if these people come near our base!" Enta growled at them.

But the demon still stood frozen. They couldn't move their eyes after meeting the eyes of Zeliker. It was like they were enchanted by the red gazes that were looking at them.

Zeliker of course would be so happy for them to stop fighting him. His body was still in pain after the last bombing accident. It would be a lie for him to not be affected by it. So, he was grateful if they just stopped battling each other.

He was the close one to it and not to mention he had to throw those humans away and let himself be the last one to get the impact of the bomb. He finally wondered why he would do that. If those humans were dead, he could just roam around freely.

As for those humans…

"They all are wearing the slave collar. Your Highness, these seem like an organization of human trafficking." Gizelis speculated.

Gizelis had heard it from recent news about it. The organization were humans who helped the demons capture other humans. They also have help from the lower born demon who was made into a demon slave.

Demons like humans have a class of rank. But the demon class only has Lower, Middle, High and Royal classes while a human has Royalty, Equestrian, Patrician, Plebeian, and Free classes. It was no wonder there would be slaves in demon kingdoms too.

Xcerox nodded in agreement. He thought so too. These demons were not at fault. They were unlucky to be born as one of the lower ranks. But he was angry that those humans bravely captured the humans in their kingdom.

This is unforgivable!

Zeliker ignores Gizelis and others. Like them, he also knows about human trafficking. It wasn't that unusual because it happens many times. Just he never saw it happen before.

Zeliker stepped aside quickly when he saw Enta attacking him. The other demons were shocked by his action.

"Enta, what're you doing?!" Kion shrieked at him.

He was afraid for Enta because he learned that all royal demons were stronger than them. It would be impossible to beat one.

"Shut up! You guys help me kill this guy! Or do you guys want our masters to punish you again?!"

Hearing the word's masters makes them tremble in fear. Some slowly clenched their teeth and glared at Zeliker and the humans.

Zeliker, who was irritated by Enta intimidating them, unleashed a gravity under all of them except for Kion. He thinks Kion deserves to be unpunished because of his cautiousness and respect for him.

The demons moaned in pain while their bodies fell to the ground and were stuck there. They felt a strong pressure pressing them down.

As for Kion, his knee fell and slowly he bowed to Zeliker. His body trembling with sweat covering all over his body.

"Please... Please, Your Highness... Don't hurt them... Forgive us. Forgive our rudeness..." He pleads.

Gizelis, Xcerox and Nish were stunned by Zeliker's action. A slight fear was felt by them.

If Zeliker wasn't on their side, would they be laying there like them? They could only watch Zeliker do his thing.

"You, lower rank demon, answer me. Who is your master?" Zeliker stared at Kion.

Kion was startled. "Our masters... They're called..."

Before Kion could say it, a jolt to his neck stunned him. He forgot he could not speak their names. Because of that, his body becomes more shaking.

Zeliker, who noticed it, flicked his finger. All the slave collars worn by the demon slaves instantly fell from their necks. Nish gawked at him.

Is it so easy to destroy it?! Why does no one tell them that the royal demon was a badass!

Xcerox and Gizelis' eyes twitched. They already know how strong Zeliker was so it doesn't come as a surprise to them. But... Could Zeliker at least not show how much power he has? It's scaring everyone around.

"Now, tell me their names." Zeliker urged Kion.

Kion who was gaping seeing his slave collar was broken looked at Zeliker slowly. Tears formed in his eyes before they fell. Then, he cried loudly with some other demon slaves. Their crying shocked Zeliker, Gizelis, Xcerox, and Nish.

What's wrong now?!

"Your Highness... Your Highness..." Kion couldn't speak because of his sadness and grief.

Zeliker looks so confused. Didn't he save them? Why do all of them look so anguished? What happens?

"You bastard! You did it again!" Enta screamed in madness.

"Hm?"

Zeliker turned to Enta who was lying on the ground. Enta was struggling against the force of gravity on him. 

Zeliker walked to him.

"Then, tell me or I would torture you guys even more." His words make the demons cry more loudly.

"Zeliker, stop. That's not how you interrogate them." Gizelis had to come forward. 

He can't stand any longer with Zeliker's methods. Xcerox and Nish follow behind him. Zeliker moves his head to the left in wonder.

Wasn't that how demons do things? He always saw his father do that to other demons. Could he be wrong then?

He shivered. No one can advise his father of his wrongdoing if they want to live longer. And they would lose their head first before they could tell it.

"My apologies. Your demon prince is a little bit high right now. Can you tell me what happens? Take it slowly. No need to rush." Gizelis asked Kion who he thought was the most obedient.

Kion turns to him. He also tries calming himself down. What a shameful thing he shows. He's already 22 years old and still cries like a baby.

A moment later, he told them why they were sad. It's because their collar was linked to their siblings who were also a slave. If the collars were destroyed, the alarm would be sounded on their siblings' collars. They will be beaten to death and then, eaten by other demon slaves.

Zeliker's eyes widened. He turns to Enta who looks at him with deep resentment. Instantly, he disappeared from the place.

"Zeliker?! Where did he go?!" Gizelis was alarmed.

Xcerox also looks grim. "He can't be..." He turns in the direction of the kidnapper's base.

"You're kidding me?!" Nish also looks in disbelief.

Unbeknownst to them, Zeliker was actually not going to the base but he was searching for someone he felt familiar with. The person was nearby. He stops somewhere and looks around.

"Come out, Silvert!"

Someone with dark attire slowly appears from the shadow of a tree. His height was 1.91 meters with light blue hair. When he was near Zeliker, he kneeled respectfully.

"Silvert Rekter meet Your Highness Prince Zeliker Asterostes!"

"What is my father's order?"

Silvert lifts his head and then looks down again. Zeliker's cold face was almost the same as Nekruis's.

"My liege, the king only orders people to find you. He rewards Eleise to anyone who can bring you back home."

Zeliker's eyes flash slightly. "Do you mean he's giving me my freedom?"

Did he just ignore the immortality item? Silvert rolled his eyes.

"Yes, my liege."

Zeliker cold eyes subsided. "So, are you here to bring me home?"

"No. I'll follow you like always, my liege."

"Then... I have a place I want to eradicate."

"As you wish."
