One day before Game of the Destiny starts.
That night Dante visits the Gorge's grandfather's bakery. He had to further question why the old man had chosen him. What do agents J and R mean by stating that he is a descendant of the previous fire prince? It's hard to understand.
"You came, son!" Gorge greeted him. There are also agents J and R, it looks like they've been waiting for Dante to come.
Agents J and R stood up from their seats, and they smiled at Dante. It seems that their efforts were not in vain.
Dante looks awkward, he still can't make up his mind, he needs more explanation about all that bullshit.
"I keep thinking about this, should I believe what you guys tell me?" said Dante.
"I mean, isn't this so sudden? How could I possibly trust you and carry such a heavy burden on my shoulders." Dante looked down, the man looked very frustrated.
"Didn't I explain it to you?" said agent J
"Yes, you explained it well. But I need concrete proof!" Dante replied.
Gorge seemed to let out a long breath, he stood up and asked Dante and the two agents to follow him.
Gorge led the three of them towards the basement of the building he had something to show.
Dante and the two agents could only follow what Gorge wanted, they went down the stairs until they reached where the old man wanted.
There was a box-shaped cage covered by a black cloth. The cage is large enough to accommodate a human in it.
Dante desperately wondered what was inside the cage, while agents J and R seemed to be whispering to each other.
"You have to see this to believe it!" George said to Dante.
Gorge immediately removed the black cloth that covered the cage, a person was sitting curled up with his legs and hands shackled with chains.
Dante was shocked to death.
"What did you do to him? Are you crazy!" Dante said he couldn't accept the Gorge's treatment of a man who looked helpless in a cage.
"Wait a minute. You'll see what happens after this." George immediately approached the two agents who had been standing behind him.
Agents J and R nodded, they understood what Abyss wanted.
Agent J immediately opens a window in the basement that connects directly to the surface to let the moonlight into the room.
"Have you ever seen a werewolf?" George asked Dante.
"Yeah, of course, I saw it in a fiction movie I've seen!" Dante replied.
"How about you see it in person this time?" George asked again.
"Of course, it's very unlikely!" Dante answered very confidently.
Agents J and R immediately pushed and moved the cage to an area exposed to direct moonlight. And what happened next made Dante fall to the floor speechless.
The man who was in the cage seemed to show strange behavior, he started howling while staring at the moon through the window in the basement.
"What is going on?" asked Dante.
"Transformation!" replied George firmly.
Instantly the chains holding the legs and arms of the man in the cage broke, and his entire body began to ooze hair. The man's body changed drastically, his muscles seemed to grow very fast, and now the man's body became a little bigger and taller.
Dante who saw this could only be silent, he had never seen a human who could do such a thing.
Now the change was getting closer to perfection, the man's face began to change, and the wolf's muzzle started sticking out of his mouth.
"Aaaaaaaaaaa...." the man howled loudly. Now the changes have worked perfectly.
Dante rubbed his eyes, he could not believe what he saw in front of his eyes at that time. It was clear that it was a werewolf that he only knew from a few films and fiction books he had read.
The weak man who was originally locked in a cage has now transformed into a werewolf perfectly, as told in films and fiction books, it seems that the moonlight is their main strength.
Now that the werewolf was starting to rampage, he plunged his sharp claws into the iron bars of the cage that had imprisoned him.
Dante looked very frightened, this was the first time he had seen a werewolf in person. Agents J and R quickly returned to cover the cage with the black cloth that had been removed earlier.
"Keep the cage away from the moonlight!" George said to agents J and R.
The werewolf who lost the moonlight immediately returned to his human form, he couldn't transform freely into the human dimension.
Grandpa George immediately approached Dante, he reached out his hand to help the man up.
"Do you still think this is bullshit?" George asked Dante.
Dante couldn't answer it, of course, what he just saw wasn't fabricated.
George explains if there are times when the dimensions that exist in this world are interconnected. There were many cases where other races used it to enter the human dimension. All mythologies and mystical creatures that are told as fairy tales are real things, be they werewolves, vampires, goblins, and others are real things.
"Entering a world inhabited by other races is an interdimensional crime!" George explained.
Agents J and R nodded and confirmed that.
George said that in the past the elders of each race living in a different dimension had made a pact that they would not interfere with each other. This is to maintain a balance between dimensions, but some parties violate the agreement. They are seduced by what is in another dimension.
"Take this werewolf, for example. He entered our dimension to hunt for human flesh!" said George.
"Do they eat human flesh?" asked Dante, he shuddered in horror.
"Yeah, that's what happened. I caught this werewolf when he preyed on a baby a few days ago!" replied George.
Dante shuddered again to hear it.
"That's why I called agents J and R to see me. They have the authority and the right to decide what we do with the werewolves!" George looked at agents J and R.
As the previous two agents said. They are agents who work directly under the orders of parliament. They have the power to handle these cases.
"We belong to an organization called 'The other side of the word'!" now agents J and R officially introduce themselves.
"As we have explained before, we are under direct parliamentary orders!" agent J added.
Dante now understands, and it turns out that in this world there are still many things that are not known. Just like what he had just witnessed with his own eyes back then, the other side of the world, a world that most of the people in this world had never known. Dante took a deep breath, now he knew that he had been innocent all along.
"Alright, let's talk about this further!" George suggested, he asked the three men to return to the upper room where the bakery was.
George glared at Dante.
"Have you experienced it?" asked the old man.
Dante nodded his head. He knew what George meant in his question.
"My hand shoots fire!" said Dante.
"I'm not surprised at all by that. After all, the locket has chosen its master!" replied George.
"Tomorrow Game of the Destiny will begin. Right now all the representatives of the other races have chosen their respective leaders." George rose from his seat.
"Right now it's only the human race that hasn't sent a representative yet. You know what will happen if we don't send someone as a representative in that game?" George asked Dante.
Dante was silent as he swallowed his saliva.
"Doomsday!" said George. The old man brought his face closer to Dante's.
"If you don't come then our world will have an apocalypse!" George added again. He glared at Dante.
"Do you know of some plagues that have hit the earth?" asked George.
George explained that the bubonic plague that had occurred from 1346 to 1353 was the work of Nidhug. The plague that killed tens of millions of souls was a magic the mystical dragon used for fun. Nidhug has many methods to fill his boredom, sometimes he creates a very great natural disaster, sometimes he creates a virus that can spread and kill many lives, and he can even turn other humans into tools to carry out massacres just for fun.
"There are so many natural disasters and disease outbreaks that have occurred in this world. All of this is nothing but Nidhug's doing for fun. Finally in 1480 for the first time Game of the Destiny was held. Since then Nidhug no longer does damage as he pleases. his heart, he only did that when the representative of the human race failed the mission he was given!" explained George at length.
"You mean?" asked Dante curiously.
George explains that Game of the Destiny has several missions that will be determined by Nidhug. Each race will have a different mission, which if they are complete they will get a point, and if they fail then Nidhug will immediately give punishment by giving a small disaster to their home world.
"The fire prince managed to get the highest points in the game, but he also failed several times in completing the missions that were given. It had an impact on the human world. I think some of it might be things you know," said George.
Dante frowned.
"The cholera epidemic that occurred in 1817-1823, is a punishment for the failure of the prince of fire to complete one of his missions!" George explained.
Dante was astonished to hear that.
"Does that mean every disaster that happens in this world is the intervention of Nidhug?" asked Dante to be sure.
George confirmed it. The old man testified that almost all natural disasters and tragedies of mass death that had ever occurred were the work of the mystical dragon.
The day Game of the Destiny will start. George waited anxiously in his heart, while agents J and R seemed to be whispering to each other. "I don't think he'll come!" Agent J said to George. "It wouldn't be easy to do this, even if the man believed what we said, but it feels very heavy to carry such a heavy responsibility on his back!" agent R gives his opinion. "I mean he has no reason to fight in this game!" agent R added. George seemed to be starting to hesitate. It's true what agent R said, currently Dante has no strong reason to fight in that game. It wasn't easy convincing the men to do what they wanted. "Today we have to send a representative from the human race. The deadline has been set, we can't delay any longer!" said agent J. George nodded in understanding. They don't want this world to just fall apart. Losing before the match would be very painful, especially if their world had to be destroyed because they sent their representatives too late. "If that man doesn't co
The portal to the Niflheim dimension has been opened. Lightning began to roar, while rumblings in the night sky began to reverberate. Agent R tries his best to stay on his feet, he must not lose concentration otherwise the portal will close again. Agent J asks for the umpteenth time, is George sure that he will represent humanity in Game of the Destiny? "You know, we don't have time anymore. I think this is the last thing we can do!" replied George. The old man had established himself. "Hasn't Norton sent the message that tonight is the last time we send representatives of humanity!" George added. Agent J ruffled his hair, he knew this was the last option they could do. The wind grew stronger around the area where the portal was opened. Portals must not be left in that state for too long, otherwise, a storm will come and hit them. George had mentally prepared well, apart from being quite skilled in using his powers, he knew at his current age that h
Agents J, R, and George sit limp after successfully sending Dante to Niflheim. The storm suddenly stops when Agent R manages to close the portal that connects their world and another world. "Can Dante do it? We put our hope in a young man with no experience at all!" agent J stood up and cleaned the coat he was wearing. "Right now we can only entrust everything to the man! After all, we have been looking for him for the past few years and haven't found him yet. I was even surprised when the man himself came to my bakery!" said George. "If only we had found him sooner, that man would have had time to make more thorough preparations!" Agent R gives his opinion. George and agent J nodded in agreement with what the man said. But George assured that if Dante was chosen, then he would have no trouble controlling his powers. Agent J gets a call from the head office, they have an urgent assignment, and at that time the energy sensor at the head office has detected
After receiving the acknowledgment of the king, the higher-ups, and the people of the Taraec kingdom. Dante now officially serves as a prince as well as the owner of power and command for every division of soldiers in the kingdom. Of course, Dante was very worried about that. Can a 20-year-old like him give good orders, Dante thought at the time? "Prince, you should rest now. The Game of the Destiny opens tomorrow and will begin. We will prepare everything necessary for this!" said Gustave. The man was very friendly toward Dante. He seemed like an easygoing person. Taraec is a fairly large European-style castle located in the eastern region of Niflheim. Currently, Niflheim is divided into regions according to the cardinal points. Each race had its territory, while the human race currently controlled the eastern region of the land. After Dante arrived in the kingdom, a welcoming party was immediately held, and the residents and everyone in the castle welcomed
Gustave had gathered every bit of information he could get about the leaders of the other races in this game. One of them was Alarik who was the leader of the werewolf race, which was a strong competitor besides the vampire race and other races. In the previous Game of the Destiny, the werewolf race had suffered several defeats in missions related to each other with the human race. This of course becomes a grudge for the werewolf race. "The fire prince earlier managed to hinder the werewolves and prevent them from gaining points in the game!" Gustave explained. "As we know, in every defeat, Nidhug will punish their home world in the form of a small disaster!" added Gustave. Hearing that explanation Dante began to understand why the man named Alarik seemed to dislike him so much. "Just like you, the leaders this time are the second generation of the previous leaders. That's why we also don't know for sure how strong each of the race leaders is this time!"
Something that happened before. Dante accidentally suppressed his energy massively, he was in his subconscious at the time. Meanwhile, Alarik, Lazarus, and the other race leaders were completely taken aback by that enormous burst of energy. The energy that was too large and uncontrollable began to impact the surrounding area. Alarik who was closest to Dante was even flung far enough away due to the intense pressure exerted by that energy. "What the hell is that bastard!" An annoyed Alarik immediately got up and prepared to attack Dante. Dante continued to expend his overflowing energy. The surface of the ground he was standing on received a very strong pressure, causing the ground to begin to swell as the surface was eroded by the immense energy that was continuously overflowing from within the man's body. Dante who lost control continued to emit bursts of energy that made the surrounding temperature feel hot like it was on fire. The energy started buzzing. The energy gathered
Hel drew closer to Dante, she floated and flew until she was right in front of Dante. Meanwhile, Dante's instincts responded as a threat. Dante increased the intensity of the energy overflowing from his body. Created an enormous vortex of fire that enveloped the surrounding area. Hel didn't seem to care much, the woman's pretty and pale face had no expression at all. Gustave who had previously calmed down a bit because the combination attack launched by the race leaders had been thwarted, was now more worried about what Hel would do to Dante. That entity was far more dangerous than the race leaders who had previously attacked Dante. Hel reached out and touched the fire vortex that Dante had created as a defense, it was beyond reason, when the woman's hand touched the fire vortex, the vortex of fire seemed to freeze before finally disappearing. Dante who was still out of control immediately raised his right hand to attack the woman, but in vain, every time a magic circle appeared
Almost two years after Dante's departure left the human world. Rose, Mikel, Richard, and Anna have now moved and live in a special dormitory run directly by the British government. As promised, agents J and R have given the children a very decent life. Of course, Dante's sudden departure is a question for the children, they deeply feel the loss of a man who has played a very good role in their lives, including Rose, the girl has also experienced a very deep loss, but she knows that thanks to Dante's departure, they can finally get the life they've always wanted. When agents J and R first came to their inn, at that moment Rose knew that her adopted brother Dante had decided to take responsibility, what she regretted was that Dante's departure was so sudden that she didn't have time to say goodbye. Unlike other children, Rose knew from the start about the burden Dante had to bear to save every human being on earth. Rose has overheard a conversation between agents J, R, and Dante abou
