On the way home, Gustave asked how Dante could wake up from his subconscious, while he felt trapped in deep despair at that time without being able to do anything.

"I don't know, suddenly this pendant feels hot and like it's on fire!" replied Dante, showing him the red locket he was wearing as a necklace.

"This pendant spews fire and burns all the roots that shackle my body," he added.

Gustave pays attention to the locket that Dante just showed him, even though he can vaguely feel that there is a very strong energy hidden within the locket.

"Aren't those roots able to absorb all the magical energy we release?" he asked.

"Yes, but not for this pendant, I don't even understand why that could happen!" Dante answered.

Gustave took a deep breath.

"Selena!" answered Gustave.

"She was my late wife," he added.
