Back to the very beginning.
London 1980.
Dante ran very fast. He had just managed to rob an old woman who was walking alone in the middle of the streets of London.
That night was very cold. Dante only wore a thin coat that looked very shabby, while his irregular breathing seemed to cause a puff of smoke because the air in the city was too cold.
"Damn, is she just a poor woman!" Dante cursed. He didn't find much money in the wallet he had just forcibly got.
The man's stomach rumbled, while the other street children were currently waiting for him to return with food.
Dante cried. If only he was educated, maybe he could get a better job than stealing or robbing someone. The man cursed himself. He couldn't do much, while the children had high hopes for him.
Finding a small shop selling bread, Dante thoughtlessly ran and entered it.
"Give me some bread!" Dante threatened with a penknife which he pointed at the salesman.
The old owner just stood there staring at Dante.
"Are you deaf, I said, give me some bread, old bastard!" shouted Dante.
The old man who was the owner of the bakery once again just stared blankly at Dante. He looked more like he was ignoring the man.
"Oh my, do you want to play with me!" said Dante angrily.
Dante who could no longer contain his anger immediately barged in and took some bread that was in the display case. He took as much as he could, even though the man made little money that night, he could at least give bread to the street children who were currently waiting for him.
Before leaving the shop, Dante took out the money he had previously gotten from the old woman's stolen wallet. It wasn't much money, not even enough to pay for a loaf he stole from the shop, but it was the only money he had at the time.
"Take this money!" said Dante. He deliberately acted so that the old man was afraid of him.
Just a few steps after Dante left the old bakery, the old man who owned the shop immediately ran over and grabbed Dante's right arm.
"You're the right person!" said the old man.
Dante who received the statement could only frown.
"You hold destiny!" said the old man again.
"What do you mean?" Dante asked back.
"You have something in you, you hold the destiny of this world!" replied the old man.
The man reached into the pocket of the jeans he was wearing. There was a pendant with fiery red eyes in the old man's hand.
"Take this thing!" said the old man, he gave the locket to Dante willingly.
Dante who didn't understand what the old man meant could only accept the red-eyed pendant. He didn't even really care what the old man said, all he could think about was how much the pendant would cost if he sold it.
Dante grabbed the pendant roughly from the old man's hand and immediately ran away from him.
"I don't care what that stupid old man means. Looks like this thing will be very valuable!" he muttered as he ran away from the old man and chuckled. He felt quite lucky that night.

"Hey, look, Dante's brother brought something!" said one of the children who saw the man's arrival.
Dante currently lives under a bridge in a slum district in the city of London. Dante lives with four other poor children. The first is named Rose, she is an 11-year-old little girl, and Mikel, a 9-year-old boy, while the other two are Anna and Richard who are 6 and 7 years old.
They are not brothers, they were originally raised in the same orphanage, but because they no longer have donors, the orphanage had to close.
The few slices of bread that Dante had looted became a joy for the four children. They haven't eaten anything for two days.
Rose, who is the eldest child, immediately distributed bread to the other children. Although not siblings, their togetherness far exceeds that.
Dante got a piece of bread from Rose, he smiled and immediately cut the bread into two parts.
"Take it this Rose, I'm not that hungry!" Dante lied.
Rose is a child who is quite intelligent and good at analyzing situations, she knows that at that time Dante was lying.
"I've got my share, and this is for Big Brother,!" the girl did not receive Dante's gift.
Dante couldn't help but smile, it wasn't easy to hide things from the girl.
After making sure the four children had eaten their rations well, Dante went outside for some fresh air. He ate the bread in his hands greedily, how could he not, the man had not eaten for almost two days.
Until suddenly Dante was surprised by the arrival of two mysterious men in black suits. Somehow the two men seemed to suddenly be behind him without him noticing.
Dante who was very surprised took a step back immediately. He grabbed the penknife that was in his pocket just in case.
"So you are the child Geogre chose!" said one of the mysterious men.
Dante who didn't understand anything could only frown, he didn't even know who the Geogre the man was referring to.
"What's your business?" asked Dante. He looked very alert.
"Didn't the old man tell you?" asked the mysterious man.
Dante who heard this immediately thought of the old man who owned the bakery he had just looted. So what business brought the two mysterious men to him? Of course, this is a question in his mind.
"Now you have the pendant, and that means you are the one that old man chose to participate in the 'Game of the Destiny'!" said the mysterious man.
"Game of Destiny?" asked Dante, confused.
"Yes, you were chosen as the person representing the human race in that game!" replied the mysterious man.
"Agent J, open the portal immediately!" The mysterious man orders his partner to open a mysterious portal.
Agent J immediately took out a box from the suitcase he was carrying. The box looks very ancient. But as soon as the man opened it, Dante was very surprised and saw a mysterious portal that suddenly appeared right above the ancient box that had just been opened by agent J.
Instantly the wind blew very hard, and lightning began to appear in the city sky.
Dante stepped back, he didn't understand what was happening then.
"What's that?" asked Dante, confused.
"It is a portal that will take you to a world called Niflheim, a very cold dark world!" said agent J
"Niflheim?" asked Dante, confused.
Sure enough, as soon as Dante tried to approach the portal, a chill immediately spread throughout his body.
"Is this real?" asked Dante, he watched the portal carefully, after all, he only heard fantasy things like that from some of the books he read.
"Look at the pendant the Geogre just gave you!" agent J
Dante was very surprised, suddenly the pendant lit up and vibrated very loudly.
"What does all this mean?" asked Dante.
"You were chosen as the messenger who will fight in Game of the Destiny. You must fight to determine the fate of this world!" Agent J explained.
"Destiny? What do you mean?" asked Dante.
"You must decide the fate of this world by following the game that will be played there!" replied agent J.
"Do you think I will do it?" Dante stared angrily at the two mysterious men.
"Must. Do street children mean enough to you?" asked agent J. The mysterious man immediately took out a firearm from one of his pockets.
Dante who saw this immediately knew what agent J meant at that time.
"I give you two choices!" said agent J, checking the bullets in his gun.
"Join Game of the Destiny, in return we will take care of those homeless children!" agent J looked at Dante.
"What if I refuse!" Dante replied.
"Those homeless kids are going to have bad luck!" said agent J, pointing his gun at Dante.
Dante swallowed his saliva, he knew that the two mysterious men weren't playing around.
"We'll give you time. In a few days we'll be back to see you!" said another mysterious man who is now known to be agent R.
The two mysterious men immediately closed the mysterious portal again. They just stared at Dante before finally leaving the man alone.
"Gosh, isn't this so unreasonable!" said Dante after the departure of the two men who are now known to be agents J and R.
Dante fell to his knees, what he just saw must have been a very absurd thing. The man saw for himself how the mysterious portal was with his two eyes.
Dante ruffled his hair, he didn't understand what agents J and R meant. The two men seemed to force him to do what they wanted.
"Isn't this just bullshit!" Dante spoke to himself.
"Did they think I would believe their jokes!" Dante laughed desperately. He knew what agents J and R were saying might not be bullshit.
Dante thought of the homeless children he had left behind. He didn't want anything bad to happen to them. It could be that the two mysterious agents are now threatening the safety of the homeless children.
Dante ran very fast to return to where the homeless children were, he slumped down after finding the four children in good condition.
"What happened, are you all right?" asked Rose, noticing Dante's arrival.
Dante looked at every part of the girl's body, he breathed a sigh of relief after finding the four homeless children in good condition.
"Dante …!" Mikel shouted startling Dante and Rose at the same time.
"Mikel, what happened?" Dante immediately responded to the scream in panic.
Dante and Rose ran to Mikel, they were afraid something bad would happen to the boy. "What happened?" asked Dante, the man immediately checked the boy's condition. Mikel just stood staring at the black plastic bag, he pointed at the bag, while his face looked very tense. Dante immediately approached the bag. It could be that the object contained in it is something dangerous. Rose held Dante's hand, she wanted him to be careful. Dante nodded in understanding, he started walking slowly towards the bag. How surprised he was to find some money in the bag. Dante's hands were shaking, how could a bag of money be where they lived? "Money, where does it come from?" said Dante, confused. Mikel just stared at Dante without saying anything. "Mikel, who gave you this bag?" asked Dante. "Two men in black suits!" Mikel replied. "Agents J and R!" Dante squealed. "So it's not bullshit!" said Dante. Dante's hands shook violently, with the mo
The innkeeper was very surprised when he found Dante who was unconscious right on the edge of the fish pond in front of his inn. Not only that, he was even more surprised when he found that the pond now only left a little boiling water, while the fish in it died like gravy. The innkeeper immediately called his wife and children who were there, he didn't dare touch Dante because the man seemed to be emitting smoke. "Geez, what happened to this guy?" said the innkeeper as he ruffled his gray-white hair. Meanwhile, his wife and children also seem confused by what happened to Dante. It was a very clear day, there was no way the man had been struck by lightning in broad daylight. "Did you hear the explosion?" the innkeeper asked his wife and children. "I'm not sure, I think I heard it!" replied the wife. "But what caused it?" asked the innkeeper's son. They didn't understand what had happened. The innkeeper tried to touch Dante's body, he was surpr
One day before Game of the Destiny starts. That night Dante visits the Gorge's grandfather's bakery. He had to further question why the old man had chosen him. What do agents J and R mean by stating that he is a descendant of the previous fire prince? It's hard to understand. "You came, son!" Gorge greeted him. There are also agents J and R, it looks like they've been waiting for Dante to come. Agents J and R stood up from their seats, and they smiled at Dante. It seems that their efforts were not in vain. Dante looks awkward, he still can't make up his mind, he needs more explanation about all that bullshit. "I keep thinking about this, should I believe what you guys tell me?" said Dante. "I mean, isn't this so sudden? How could I possibly trust you and carry such a heavy burden on my shoulders." Dante looked down, the man looked very frustrated. "Didn't I explain it to you?" said agent J "Yes, you explained it well. But I need concrete proof!" Dante
The day Game of the Destiny will start. George waited anxiously in his heart, while agents J and R seemed to be whispering to each other. "I don't think he'll come!" Agent J said to George. "It wouldn't be easy to do this, even if the man believed what we said, but it feels very heavy to carry such a heavy responsibility on his back!" agent R gives his opinion. "I mean he has no reason to fight in this game!" agent R added. George seemed to be starting to hesitate. It's true what agent R said, currently Dante has no strong reason to fight in that game. It wasn't easy convincing the men to do what they wanted. "Today we have to send a representative from the human race. The deadline has been set, we can't delay any longer!" said agent J. George nodded in understanding. They don't want this world to just fall apart. Losing before the match would be very painful, especially if their world had to be destroyed because they sent their representatives too late. "If that man doesn't co
The portal to the Niflheim dimension has been opened. Lightning began to roar, while rumblings in the night sky began to reverberate. Agent R tries his best to stay on his feet, he must not lose concentration otherwise the portal will close again. Agent J asks for the umpteenth time, is George sure that he will represent humanity in Game of the Destiny? "You know, we don't have time anymore. I think this is the last thing we can do!" replied George. The old man had established himself. "Hasn't Norton sent the message that tonight is the last time we send representatives of humanity!" George added. Agent J ruffled his hair, he knew this was the last option they could do. The wind grew stronger around the area where the portal was opened. Portals must not be left in that state for too long, otherwise, a storm will come and hit them. George had mentally prepared well, apart from being quite skilled in using his powers, he knew at his current age that h
Agents J, R, and George sit limp after successfully sending Dante to Niflheim. The storm suddenly stops when Agent R manages to close the portal that connects their world and another world. "Can Dante do it? We put our hope in a young man with no experience at all!" agent J stood up and cleaned the coat he was wearing. "Right now we can only entrust everything to the man! After all, we have been looking for him for the past few years and haven't found him yet. I was even surprised when the man himself came to my bakery!" said George. "If only we had found him sooner, that man would have had time to make more thorough preparations!" Agent R gives his opinion. George and agent J nodded in agreement with what the man said. But George assured that if Dante was chosen, then he would have no trouble controlling his powers. Agent J gets a call from the head office, they have an urgent assignment, and at that time the energy sensor at the head office has detected
After receiving the acknowledgment of the king, the higher-ups, and the people of the Taraec kingdom. Dante now officially serves as a prince as well as the owner of power and command for every division of soldiers in the kingdom. Of course, Dante was very worried about that. Can a 20-year-old like him give good orders, Dante thought at the time? "Prince, you should rest now. The Game of the Destiny opens tomorrow and will begin. We will prepare everything necessary for this!" said Gustave. The man was very friendly toward Dante. He seemed like an easygoing person. Taraec is a fairly large European-style castle located in the eastern region of Niflheim. Currently, Niflheim is divided into regions according to the cardinal points. Each race had its territory, while the human race currently controlled the eastern region of the land. After Dante arrived in the kingdom, a welcoming party was immediately held, and the residents and everyone in the castle welcomed
Gustave had gathered every bit of information he could get about the leaders of the other races in this game. One of them was Alarik who was the leader of the werewolf race, which was a strong competitor besides the vampire race and other races. In the previous Game of the Destiny, the werewolf race had suffered several defeats in missions related to each other with the human race. This of course becomes a grudge for the werewolf race. "The fire prince earlier managed to hinder the werewolves and prevent them from gaining points in the game!" Gustave explained. "As we know, in every defeat, Nidhug will punish their home world in the form of a small disaster!" added Gustave. Hearing that explanation Dante began to understand why the man named Alarik seemed to dislike him so much. "Just like you, the leaders this time are the second generation of the previous leaders. That's why we also don't know for sure how strong each of the race leaders is this time!"
