CHAPTER 135

A man lives to die After an hour-plus drive, Gary pulled into a small clearing. Getting out of his car, Gary and Tom stared at the old warehouse in front of them, and how deserted this area was.

“Boss, it’s not too late to get back into the car,” Tom whispered, gesturing to the car behind them. “I don’t think it’s safe to walk to the warehouse…”

Patting Tom on the back, Gary smiled and teased, “Grow some backbone, man.”

‘I have a backbone. I’m just worried about your safety. Your father will not be happy with my performance if a bullet or knife strikes through your heart.’ Tom thought to himself, keeping quiet about his concerns. ‘I don’t want this to go South, boss.’

Shaking his head lightly, Gary pulled out his phone, scrolled through his contact, and stopped at Jerome’s number, dialling it without hesitation.

The phone rang twice before there was a click and Jerome answered, “Hey, boss.”

“I’m outside. Come out,” Gary ordered calmly, his eyes scanning the surrounding area.
