Gary sat at his desk, flipping through the pages of the document that lay before him. He had read it twice already, but something about it just wasn't sitting right. He furrowed his brow and read through the paragraph again, scanning each line for any hint of what was bothering him.As he reached the signature line, his eyes narrowed. He had spotted something earlier, but had dismissed it as a minor detail. The conference room was filled with tension as the board members sat in silence, processing all the bad news that had just been delivered. Mr Johnson, had imaginary smiles drawn across his brow as his eyes scanned the room as he took in the reactions of the board members.Inwardly, he felt his plan had been achieved. Everyone took the words as he had said it without wavering. It should be noted that Mr Johnson was a respected member of the board.He was known to speak wisdom and give ideas that were of course favourable. A more reason why the board members had respected him a lot and taken a lot of respect for his words without asking him to provide evidence.They solely trusted Mr Johnson's judgement in place of Gary, since Gary was a new man.After a few moments of silence, Mr Johnson cleared his throat, drawing the attention of everyone in the room.
