CHAPTER 46

"I didn't do it, I don't know what they are talking about! Let go of me!" Gary shouted as the corpse dragged him towards the door.

One of the corps, a bald man with a tattoo on his neck, turned to Gary and sneered. "You're coming with us, buddy. You're a criminal now, and you're going to pay for what you've done."

Gary struggled, but they were too strong. They quickly handcuffed him in both hands, making it impossible for him to fight back. As they led him out of the boardroom, Gary felt a sense of shame and humiliation wash over him.

This was the second time he was taken by the law innocently. Not that alone, he was treated like a criminal. That alone was overwhelming.

The moment they escorted him out of the building, Gary saw the flashing lights of the police car in the distance. He knew then that things were serious. It dawned on him that he wasn't dreaming.

Going to jail was in no way a dream. It was serious.

Right there, he turned around and yelled. "I want to call my lawyer," G
