Gary's heart raced as he carried Laura in his arms, her body limp and fragile from the traumatic experience she had endured.

The lights illuminated the mansion casting ethereal shadows on the walls as he carefully navigated the hallway. He could feel her shallow breaths against his chest, a stark contrast to the vibrant woman he knew.

Reaching the bedroom, Gary gently laid Laura down on the soft bed, his hands cradling her head.

He couldn't help but notice how her face, usually glowing with vitality, now appeared pallid and drained. Her once vibrant eyes were dull and tired, carrying the weight of the kidnapping and the stress that accompanied it.

Kneeling beside the bed, Gary's concern grew.

"Laura," he whispered, his voice laced with worry. "Should I call an ambulance? We can get you to the hospital."
