<Hidden quest 'Saint of Benevolence- 01' completed>

<As a reward you can now change your class to 'Descendent of the Benevolent saint'>

<Do you wish to continue>

“What...?”

The 11 saints of the Beginning.

They were the ones on whom the whole game’s main story was based on.

currently, there is no known descendent or anyone with class related to them.

It can only be considered as Luck for Kyle to encounter a quest such as this on the first day of starting the game.

If this isn't what you call Luck, they what is? he met some random kid, talked with him, and gave him a health potion. How can such a thing trigger class change to one of the 11 main classes?

But the replay he gave was equally bizarre too,

“What Saint, does it help me build a robot?”

Mike asked back the system.

[...]

Of course there was no replay.

But Mike could more or less guess what the class would do seeing the word ‘Saint’ in it.

“I don’t want to become a saint or whatever, I just want to build my Robot”

He refused to change the class without even batting an eye.

Was this what you call the ignorance of a noob? If anyone playing the game currently, get to know about it, they would cough up blood cursing him.

As of now, even after a year of the game being released, there were only 5 known Unique class users, not even an Epic class was known to people yet, and here is this moron rejecting a class that would possibly of legendary rating!

Ding!

<If you refuse the class change, you will lose the qualification to do the quests that are related to becoming the 'Benevolent Saint' in the future>

<Do you still wish to refuse the Class-change?>

<Y/N>

"Are you dumb or what? I said that I don't want to become a saint, just cancel it already"

<You have refused to change class>

<All your quests related to ‘Saint of benevolence’ has been terminated>

He looked at the system prompt and turned a blind eye to it.

He was about turn around and talk to the kids when it happened...

Ding!

<You have refused to become the Saint>

<You have acquired the title ‘One who refused to be the Saint(unique)’>

-----------------------------------------------------

<One who refused to be the Saint>

A title given to, a weird man who refused to become the saint.

Effect: - The debuffs that would occur when facing the saint or beings with the power of Legends or below will be cancelled.

--------------------------------------------------------

‘What a useless title…’

Once again, the ignorance of a noob!

He cancelled the system prompt looking towards the kids who were now thanking him.

“Thank you so much, sir” The young girl was bowing her head ninety-degree as she repeatedly kept thanking him.

“It was nothing…ha...ha”

Mike was getting embarrassed by being thanked like this by a kid.

“Here take this? I don’t want to owe you anything”

But the other kid seemed to be too eccentric to receive his help as he tried to hand him some silver coins.

Mike looked at the three silver coins in his hand as a smile appeared on his face.

“Hey, kid! Buy a good meal with that money for your brother”

He said as he ruffled his head, Max just stood there looking down.

How hard is it for the kid to look after his three siblings when he himself was not even 10 years old. How long would he been longing for the warmth of a hand that could stroke him, tears filled Max eyes as he just looked down not daring to show his face to Mike.

Mike smiled warmly as he knew the feeling the boy was experiencing, being an Orphan himself he knew how hard it could get in the world for a lone kid to survive while also protecting his siblings.

Mike walked outside without waiting for the kid to say anything, once he was outside the tent he said out loud, "You can be proud of yourself, Kid"

He just walked away saying that but he could already hear the grumbling voice Max not before long,

“I am not a Kid, you old man”

Mike smirked hearing his annoying voice that came out of his lumped throat.

He didn’t bother to argue with the kid and continued walking towards the main gate of the Village.

While he was walking there, he opened the ‘Genesis’ forum as he searched for, ways to level up from the tutorial.

There were many posts suggesting various things but a certain post among that caught his eyes.

                                           <Level up by forging>

Hello guys, as you all probably know, one can level up by forging or brewing or doing any of the class-specific jobs. But do you know that you can level up by making things even before getting a class? Yes, you can, visit your nearby lifestyle workplaces like forge or alchemist building and there you could use some failed products that the NPCs produce to work on your own. Of course, you can’t succeed without a class but you can get exp even if you make a failed product.

And of course, this method is not ideal, killing one monster would probably give you more exp than wasting your 2-3 hours making some sh*tty product.

________________________________________________________________________

Mike read through everything and instantly decided.

“Alright, let’s go to Workshop”, He didn’t even think that it will be a waste of time.

“Why would I fight when I am here in the game to make a robot? I am a genius...hahaha”

“…”

As expected of a game noob.

****

In front of what looked like a garage, Mike stood crossing his hands.

“Hmm….”

There were numerous carts parked here and there, the wooden tires of the carts were being shaped by some old -man, and a middle-aged man was working on something like a lock.

No matter how he looked at it, it just seemed like carpentry.

“Yep, I might have lost my way?”

He turned around and was about to walk away when a hand caught his shoulders.

“You are in the right place young man”

Mike got a chill down his spine as he tried to move away from the hand on his shoulders.

“How do you know where I want to go? This is definitely the wrong place. Ha...ha”

He tried to shake off the Oldman who was holding his shoulders but his grip was strong and precise which made him unable to even shake his shoulders.

“A middle-aged man so handsome like you, you can’t possibly here to look for a muscle job in smity or a carpentry, you are looking for a Workshop, right?”

“….”

“Hahaha…I got you! Come with me kid, I will teach you the way of an Engineer”

Mike looked at the Oldman from up to down, the oldman’s eyes were sparkling for some reason.

Mike looked at the cartwheels that were laying on the ground and back at the oldman.

‘There is no way that stinking carpenter is an engineer’, he thought!

“No, thank you….”

He had no intention of becoming a mechanic who repaired carts.

“Now…now…don’t be like that, oh! are you surprised by the cart wheels laying all around. hahaha...don't be mistake, it's just a side job I do in my free time, huhuhu ”

'It looks like a full time job for me though!', He thought, looking at all the wood works that was spread all over.

"Hahaha, you still seem like a newbie, then I will be generous let you see my workshop"

Mikee's eyes gleaned at the mention of 'Workshop'. He was curious as to how the Work shop in the middle ages would be, he wanted to explore the workshop and start his work right now.

'A great man once said that 'A Man's harem is incomplete without a Mecha and a Workshop'.'

Mike thought as he followed the Oldman like a faithful disciple.

The Oldman walked pass their 'part time' carpentry and climbed the steps Up as they arrived at the second floor standing in front of an old fashioned door.

"Don't be surprised young man, what lies behind this is the fantasy and dream of countless men, embrace the beauty of the Workshop, huhuhu"

He said as he pushed open the doors which opened making a creek sound.

Flash!

A bright light flashed as Kyle covered his face with one hand but still looked at the workshop not being able to resist the temptation.

In front of him was a room which didn't have any light beside the light on the opposite window, from where a castle was visible. There were many glasses and tubes filled with some liquid, various machines with numerous gears, set of mechanical googles hanging on one side of a wall, and what seemed to be a primitive model of a steam engine, a blueprint of some kind of a machine was pasted to the wall on side, some mathematical formulas were scribbled on the bord that was present on another side.

'WOW!'

The beauty in front of him can only be felt by a true engineer, no word was able to describe it's beauty. he thought as he witnessed the Workshop.

"A true man's Harem", The Oldman said satisfied at seeing the astonished and appreciative look on Mike's face.

'A true man's Harem', Mike mumbled lost in thought.

---***---

{Harem, in general contrast means a place were the wives or concubines of the man are kept. Here the Old man means that it was a where a true man keeps his wives, which are machines.}

Mike took the paper and pencil from the Old man and started to do a rough sketch of the hand pump. first, he drew two sides of a well and a long iron pipe at one side of the well from which the water will be drawn. and at the upper open end of the well, there was a handle for pumping. Inside the Iron pipe, he drew a circular plate-like thing that will be made of iron, and above it will be a layer of rubber with a check valve. it is drawn in such a way to explain that it will open when the handle of the pump is pushed downward and closes when it is pulled up. A similar check valve is added at the middle of the pipe so that water can only enter from outside and should never go out from inside. and on the upper end of the pipe, a gear is fixed with the piston chain to create pressure and pull up the water. He finished the drawing by sketching the head of the pump which covered the gear and a water outlet just below the handle. As soon as he finished the sketch numerous systems inva

Mike got busy with the work as soon as he entered the workshop! He entrusted the making of iron pipe to the Oldman, even though he seemed like a carpenter from the outside, he felt like he should be able to handle that.He just told him about the requirements of the pipe, to be about 4 inches wide and 10 meters long."That's quite a big one but I guess we need that much since its a well we are talking about"The oldman got to work with a complaint and he even seemed to be oddly in good mood may because he was thinking about money.Mike also didn't waste any time and started to make the remaining parts. The first thing he started was Check-Valve.It was the main component in the pump that ensured that the drawn water doesn't get back to the well again. He first took a big round iron disk that would fit inside the Iron pipe perfectly and drew a circle on it.He cut the iron along the circle and made the same with a rubber disk just that the radius of the rubber was rather larger and it

All the work related to the hand pump was completed and all that was left was the inauguration ceremony from when It would be officially in use, and it seemed like his quest would also be completed when the announcement is made. Every player was only allowed to play 15 hours a day in real-time considering that players wouldn't play the game excessively ignoring real life. There was still a lot of time before his log-out period would end. Mike had only played for 8 hours in real life which was equivalent to a day in-game, which meant that he still had another 7 hours till he would be forcefully logged out. "Well then, Shall we go hunting in meantime" He was oddly excited as it was his first time playing a game in a VR, the last time he remembered playing a game was on PC, so everything felt new and interesting. Mike was imagining just how it would feel to fight in VR. Of course, he had tried various technologies when he was a great figure but nothing he had seen was anywhere clos
