Natalie sat still and it felt like cold water had just been poured on her. Alex looked at her slightly, allowing her to take in the full meaning of what he had just said. He knew he was hurting her but if she had just behaved like a good girl and taken the position he gave her without complaining or asking for more, he would not have to let the cat out of the bag.

"You can't blame grandpa though. After all, he had no idea that you even existed. The person you should actually be blaming is the one you call your mother. You should blame her because if she had told our grandfather anything at all, then I am sure that he would have included you in his will "

"You mean the same person that killed my father?!" She said with so much rage. "Do you understand how angry I am? Do you have any idea the number of things I want to do that would hurt you?" She said as she slammed her hand on his desk.
