Cries at Night

He immediately jogged in the direction where his father and mother were. His behavior naturally invites questions for his parents.

"Thomas, what are you doing? Why are you panicking?" said his father.

"N-nothing really, Dad," replied Thomas.

"Do not lie! You've seen something, haven't you?" his mother asked.

This time Thomas was no longer able to lie. He paused. His thoughts led him to speak the truth.

"Dad, just put the car outside. Don't put it in the garage!" Thomas said slowly.

"Why?"

"I saw there was a scary woman in there, Dad," said Thomas.

Suddenly his father's face turned pale. Even the head of the family who was the protector of him and his mother was frightened by that. Wouldn't it be natural for him to be afraid too?

Nobody dared to speak. Everything dissolved into silence. If only there was no element of compulsion, surely Thomas would not have told him. He thought that if he didn't tell him and his father took the car into the garage, it could actually bring big disaster. Because of that, he decided to tell it.

"Thomas, maybe you're just looking at it wrong," his father said.

"I know Dad actually believes, but pretends to believe so mom and I won't be scared," said Thomas. His father is silent.

"Okay, dad. Don't think about it too. He said dad was hungry. Let's eat together!" ask Thomas.

All the time that passed, Thomas kept thinking about the problem of new sightings. Twice he saw his father's vehicle being boarded by the same ghost. The first was when his father was riding a motorcycle, and the second is now. He was grateful because the ghost did not harm his father. But, he wasn't sure if the next time the same thing would happen, whether the ghost still didn't harm his father, or even vice versa.

Apart from that, finally the father complied with his wish to let the car stay in front of the house. It seemed that the middle-aged man was actually scared as well. It's just that he always hides his fear.

Hiks! Hiks! Hiks!

There was a sound of heartbreaking crying. The sound of crying made Thomas wake up from his sleep. The first time he heard it, he could immediately conclude who was crying.

Fear, that's how he felt. On a terrifying night he slept alone, then woke up and heard the sound of a woman crying that he didn't know where it came from. Tonight his chest really made pounding.

"He's coming," he said quietly.

Thomas do not know what to do, but suddenly he immediately jumped out of bed. Not only that, he also came out of his room.

With careful steps, he intended to find where the voice came from. That's human, who can never win from curiosity. Even when he was in great fear.

Arrive Thomas in the family room. He didn't see anything strange there. But the sound of crying was still heard. He thought the sound was coming from in front of his house.

"It looks like outside the house," he thought.

Still with careful steps, he immediately headed for the front door. No, more precisely towards the window of the house. He wanted to check it through the window only.

He drew back the curtains that covered the window so that the outside of the house could be seen by his eyes. But still nothing. But strangely, when he did that, the sound of crying disappeared.

"Strange," he thought.

His eyeballs are still moving wildly to look for something strange outside the house. There he could still see his father's parked car. He tried to focus his eyes on the inside of the car, the place where he had seen the ghost sighting. However, it also turned out that there was nothing there.

"Heh, it turns out he's afraid of me," said Thomas, starting to show his arrogance.

Feeling that he didn't find anything, he immediately closed the window again using the curtains. And that's when the strangeness appeared. Even though it wasn't very clear, he seemed to see a human shadow that was now outside the house.

"Who is that?" he thought.

Stupidly he even went back there. The curtain opened slowly. And in the final seconds, he opened it quickly. but what happened? The shadow he saw earlier seemed to disappear from civilization. Yes, he saw nothing out there.

"Weird," he said.

He tried to close it again, but now strangely the shadow was also not visible. Then he opened it again, the result remains the same. There's nothing out there. But he was not satisfied with that. He closed it again, and then opened it again. It was there that something he never wanted to see appeared right in front of him. Something in the form of a female ghost with a face full of blood is scary.

Now the distance between Thomas's face and the ghost's face is only limited by the window glass. His body was stiff and shaking. Cold sweat suddenly broke out. His eyes couldn't even be closed, as if forcing him to still see the ghost's form.

With the last of his strength, he tried to move his hand. He pulled the curtain to cover his window. After he succeeded in doing so, he was finally able to breathe a sigh of relief. Even his body, which was stiff before, is now able to move.

"Hah! Hah! Hah!"

Because of seeing that scary form, he forgot to breathe. Never did he expect to be confronted by such a frightening figure at night. It feels like a dream, but it's real.

He observed where the ghost had been. And it doesn't exist anymore. But right after that, a small laugh that was both annoying and scary rang clearly in his ears. The sound of laughter that he believed as if he was laughing at the frightened him. If only he wasn't traumatized, he would have tried to see it through the window. But what happened just now had made him not dare to do it again.

Tok! Tok! Tok!

Door knock sound. Thomas' heart immediately pounded violently. That must be the work of the ghost, he thought. His gaze was directed towards the door. Scary shadows appeared if he opened the door. Until then, the tapping sound reappeared at a louder tone.

Thomas was speechless. It felt like tonight was the scariest night of his entire life. He could only observe the door of his house without the slightest courage to approach. But a few moments later, the door knocker sounded. And it was through her voice that Thomas regained his courage a bit.

"Thomas, it's me."
