ClemCaThat character truly was Thanos before the MCU Thanos erasing half of the world was even a thing. I was truly a visionary. The format of this volume was that of short chapters I wrote quickly, and the end was kind of rushed so I made the rest of it into a triple chapter.

For the anecdote, at the time, I was tired of writing sad shit, and I saw the direction it was going to take, so I ended it extremely early, as I wanted to quickly go to something else. At least it was how I saw it, but in fact, I think it was an early sign of the burnout I'd have soon after, which had me stopping volume 9 after only a chapter and a half, and globally going into hiatus for 2 years. Even to me, volume 8 felt extremely rushed despite having good ideas, so I feel really bad about it. I think it's the first volume I will write a continuation of, as it is the most rushed. I don’t remember what D.D. stands for, tho.
