ClemCaThis chapter was partly written in 2018, and finished in 2020 just for the sake of it, when I got back to writing my other novel. So this is where I’m picking up. Right after I finish volume 9, volume 10 will be a complete rewrite of volume 8. I’m going to try and keep a release rate as high as possible. If I know I can't handle it I’ll slow it down, for both the quality of the novel and the quality of my mental health. This is a hobby after all.

Everything went pretty well. While the voting itself is anonymous, for security purposes, but the vetoing isn't. The goal of this is to have the senate regulate itself. Any abusive use of vetoes would have the senate turn against that person, making the use of vetoes for personal and unjustified matters harder. And so, if everyone felt justified to use their veto on the second proposal, no one used it on the first. I made sure it was well tied together. Their reputation guarantees their current positions, and as such no one would want to risk their own reputation for that.
