"This is the last time you disobey me," Naamah said through clenched teeth, in an inflection filled with anger as she approached him.

Khaius had his head lowered, his eyes fixed on the ground and he was lucky to support himself with his arms so as not to collapse completely. When she was close enough to him, she raised one hand in the air, gripping her dagger firmly.

An indescribable feeling welled up from the very center of my being. Something I wasn't able to recognize, but I didn't care to do it either. I did not think. I didn't give it importance. Pain flared in my muscles as I stood up, but I didn't care. Not sure how I did it, I made it to Naamah. And I lashed out at her. My arms surrounded her torso and the weight of my body made the inertia do the work.

We both fell, unpleasantly close to each other, and I heard the shrill sound of metal hitting the floor as she dropped the dagger. Just a second later, I felt the blow on the top of her head causing my arms to release her.
