Chapter 7. Execution

This morning Zeldris planned to practice swordplay with his father, Zeldris had the opportunity to learn the sword techniques of the clark noble family directly from his father. Zeldris felt happy because finally the thing she had been waiting for had arrived.

The Clark noble family sword technique is one of the best sword techniques in the Balmuth Empire. There are many people who want to learn this sword technique, because in the long history of the Empire, many of the owners of this technique have become big names, one of which is the current family leader, Gildart Clark, who has become a hero of the Empire and Zeldris' brother who has become a hero protector of the Empire.

This made Zeldris even more excited that she would be one of the successors of this sword technique.

Zeldris knocked on the door of his father's room, and someone from inside invited his to enter. The guard at the door opened the door for Zeldris and found a soldier inside who was reporting to his father.

"Sit down, Zeldris!"

Zeldris sat down in the room not far from Gildart's table. "And you..." Gildart turned back to his soldier. "Continue what you were about to report."

The soldier nodded, then continued the report he had just given to Lord Gildart.

"As I reported earlier, Your Highness, we found signs of intruders entering the dungeon, this is reinforced by the presence of tracks other than those of the guards and the sleeping guards at the entrance to the dungeon."

The head soldier explained the oddities that happened last night in the dungeon. He also explained the chronology that happened until he came to the conclusion that there were intruders in the prison.

"What do you think they want? And who are they looking for?" Gildart looked into the motives of the intruders to dare to break into his family's prison.

"We still can't confirm it, Your Highness, but we found an oddity in one of the prison cells there, there was a broken prison padlock. That cell belongs to the woman we suspect of being another noble spy. "

"You mean the woman we suspect to be a spy belonging to that old fart Berndhart?" Gildart mentioned Bernhardt's name while pounding on his desk. The head warrior was horrified to see his master displaying a murderous aura.

"But until now we still can't confirm the truth of your statement, sir, because that woman keeps her mouth shut tightly."

The jailer lowered his head slightly as he felt he had failed to do his job properly.

Gildart looked angry at the warden's words, Gildart felt that Berndhart had succeeded in spying on him. With a burning anger because he felt that his guards were incompetent in carrying out his duties, Gildart took the sword that was sheathed at his waist,

Shrak!

With just one slash the head of the soldier in front of Gildart flew and fell not far from where Zeldris was sitting, Zeldris who saw the incident did not show any fear at all, but instead looked smiling with a sinister grin as if satisfied with what his father had done.

"You trash soldier, the Clark family doesn't need weaklings. Guard! Take this trash and call Albert here."

The guard standing guard at the entrance went straight into the room and carried the corpse of the warden, a moment later someone entered the room. The tall, well-built and well-dressed man saluted Gildart.

"Did you call for me, sir?" said the man as he bowed respectfully.

"That's right, Albert, I received a report of an intruder in the dungeon. Have you heard the news?" Gildart took a cigar from his desk drawer and smoked it then released the smoke into the air.

"I have heard the news Sir, and I am still looking into the report."

"Have you found out who that person is?" Gildart asked again.

"Not yet, sir, this person is a skilled person, he is good at eliminating traces, I am sure he is not an ordinary person, he is good at eliminating traces of his magic, but it seems that there are two of them, because one of the traces looks so rough, it shows that his ability to eliminate traces is a little hasty and not well honed."

Albert explained his findings very carefully, Albert's skills were so skillful and it was certain that Albert was not an arbitrary person.

"If you listen to your explanation it seems that this person is a great person, what about that spy woman? Is she willing to answer who sent her?"

Gildart frowned slightly, looking like he was thinking seriously while smoking his cigar.

"Not yet, sir, that woman is so stubborn and still reluctant to tell. We have interrogated her using a mind-reading spell but to no avail. It seems that this woman made a reversal spell so that we can't read her mind."

Albert seemed to have a hard time interrogating Mrs. Freya, from what Albert said it was certain that Mrs. Freya was a skilled spy who was even willing to die to keep the name of the person who ordered her.

"I'm sure this must be Berndhart's doing, he does have a lot of loyal soldiers who are ready to die for him. Do you have a plan Albert?"

Albert quickly nodded then replied, "There is Sir, I want to execute the woman by beheading which will be carried out in the city center, if the two intruders are still in this city, they will definitely try to save her."

Gildart looked pleased with Albert's plan, a big smile could be seen on Gildart's face, with this it was like swatting two flies.

"Good, Albert, I like your plan, carry out your plan as soon as possible, so that everyone knows that anyone who tries to play games with the noble Clark family will end up dead," said Gildart as he walked up to Albert and patted Albert on the shoulder.

"And make sure Bernhardt gets word of this execution, I can't wait to see what he looks like, hahaha." Gildart laughed with satisfaction.

"Yes, sir, I will do it immediately." Albert bowed his head and prepared to leave Gildart's room.

"Father, I will execute that woman." Zeldris suddenly stood up.

Gildart looked towards Zeldris, and Albert also stopped his steps and watched Zeldris. Zeldris seemed to be smiling a sinister smile, as if she was enjoying the situation.

"Right, father, let me carry out the execution, this will be one proof of my loyalty to the noble Clark family. "Zeldris again expressed his wishes with fiery fervor, trying to convince Gildart to give him the trust to carry out the execution.

"Lion cub, stay a lion cub, I'm glad my son is growing up like a true fighter. Go for it, Zeldris, show the world that the noble clark family is the best family in the Balmuth Empire. And show our enemies how terrible the clarks are."

Gildart's pride in his youngest son was evident, Gildart felt that Zeldris truly had the blood of a fighter like his and would be a great successor.

"Did you hear what I said, Albert?" Zeldris looked up at Albert with the corners of his lips pulled up.

"I will do so, young master, I will prepare everything."

Albert bowed and saluted Zeldris and left.

Zeldris looked pleased with what he had gotten. With this he would gain his father's trust and grow closer to him. He hoped to get more training from his father. His goal of becoming the best would be wide open in the future.

"By killing that servant I will make that trash slave even more miserable, I will make him like living in hell. Now no one will care about you, trash slave," Zeldris said with a frightening smile. Zeldris was so vengeful towards Fenrir after humiliating her yesterday, and now Zeldris had found a way to get revenge perfectly, something that would surely hurt Fenrir deeply.

"Come, Zeldris, I will teach you the techniques of the clark family sword, I will make you one of the greatest successors in the history of the clark family lineage."

"Yes, father."

Zeldris followed Gildart to the training ground. Inside, Zeldris was so happy to hear Gildart's words. His goal was gradually becoming apparent.

"I will be the best in the Balmuth Empire, I will be the one who will be at the highest peak," Zeldris said inwardly showing how great his ambition was to become a true ruler.
