Don't want to live anymore

"Oi Fanel, my friend, I have been looking for you everywhere," Fanel frowned. Since when had he ever been Reinhard's friend? He shook his head and decided to ignore this weirdo. Every time, that asshole tries to use him for something dirty. Why not extort his poor pay when he has four times the salary that Fanel receives?

Fanel decided to ignore Reinhard and his gang. He had just suffered another humiliation, and he didn't feel like being mistreated again. "Hey, I'm talking to you," Reinhard put his hand around Fanel's neck, preventing him from moving. "It's not nice to ignore me like that when I came all nice for you," Reinhard spoke coldly as Fanel's heart trembled. What did he want? His money? He indeed rackets him every time he wants to make bets.

"I…I don't have any money…" he spoke in fear. "Ah, but let's see Fanel, you hurt me. Our relationship is not just about that, let's see." Reinhard withdrew before crossing the fatty. "Good news for you Fanel. We are going with you on a mission." Reinhard then announced that Fanel believed it was a dream. Reinhard just invited him on a mission? He had never had this chance before. A hunter who had never participated in an official mission. Is it a dream?

Then he frowned. Coming from Reinhard and his crew, he was not reassured. "Are you sure?" He asked cautiously. "Of course," Reinhard came and hit Fanel on the back forcefully before adding. "Your regenerative abilities are certainly weak but for this mission, it is more than enough. So, what do you say?"

Fanel smiled, he could finally go on a mission. Without thinking twice, he agreed. Reinhard's two sidekicks looked at each other knowingly with their mean eyes as Reinhard smiled in delight. "Well, it's about going to visit the Loophole dungeon. There may be some treasures that other hunters have not recovered after defeating the goblins."

Fanel frowned. The dungeon had been an abandoned dungeon for years. Nobody was interested in it anymore, and the interest in going there was not great. But you never know, there may be something engaging there.

"Well, I'm one of you."

"And you are doing well."

They walked to the dungeon without going to the guild so that Fanel could register for this mission, and that's how they all ended up in the cave leading to the dungeon.

Fanel was the one leading the way, carrying the lamp as Reinhard and his gang marched silently behind him.

"Is…is it good here?" Fanel didn't know the way and was beginning to feel worried. Why ask him to lead the march if he had never been here? Eventually, the other three stopped, and Fanel did the same. Turning, he just felt the other two hunters hold his arms as Reinhard punched him in the stomach.

Ugh.

"Ahh."

"Little fag, you are stupid," Reinhard spoke as the other two snickered.

"But…" Fanel wanted to speak despite the pain, but he had received another blow. Ugh.

This time he coughed up blood.

"You are the disgrace of the profession, and you embarrass the guild. It is better to get rid of you."

Fanel felt his body being pulled to a strange place, and before he knew it, his body was thrown over a precipice.

"Haha, finally got rid of this ball and chain."

"What if the others came to ask?"

"No one would waste their time worrying about whether that little whore is missing or not, haha."

"So, we can say good riddance?"

As his body fell heavily into the air and felt like the precipice was deep, Fanel heard what these people were saying. So that was it? Was he going to die like this? He closed his eyes, remembering his life since becoming a hunter. His parents were no more, fortunately; otherwise, they would be too ashamed.

He had been nothing but teasing and bullying from the start. He remembered everything. Times when he had been beaten.

"Beat him to death."

"How can a shit like him exist among us?"

Where he was humiliated.

"He's a hunter? He can't fight even the weakest of monsters."

"How can a talentless shit like him claim to be a hunter?"

"He ruins the profession. Knowing that a scum like him is a hunter like me makes me vomit."

"He makes me want to puke."

Times when they had wished him dead.

"A mistake, a shit."

"Why is he still alive?"

"He is so disgusting that he deserves to die."

Die, die, die…. These words echoed in his mind, and Fanel closed his eyes.

"I don't have the strength or the desire to live anymore…damn, it's too much. Why do I have to keep putting up with this? Better to die."

Fanel let himself down before hearing a beep, and then a bluish light appeared in front of him.

Opening his eyes, he saw a system window open in front of him.

[Are you tired of this situation?]

[Do you want to change?]

Fanel frowned.

"What is this? I haven't activated my system command window. Who?"

[Do you want to become strong?]

Fanel gritted his teeth. What a silly question! Of course, he wanted it. If he was strong, he wouldn't go through all this.

[Congratulations on making the right choice, master.]

"What…I didn't even answer…"

[For your divine mission, the evolution system is at your service.]

"What…but hey!"

Fanel's body was thrown with astonishing force towards a strange place, and he straightened up, grabbing his head.

"Damn, what was that?"

"Welcome, dear divine chosen one…delighted to meet you."

Fanel turned to see a man sitting in an imposing chair with a bright smile.

"Who the hell are you, and where am I?"
