Chapter 09: Night Attack

Zhi Hao immersed himself in deep meditation, his determination firm to venture into the Ring World. With his eyes closed and breathing evenly, he thought, "This is really real!" Curiosity aroused, but he was still not sure whether it was only his spirit that felt this or whether his entire physical body was also involved.

In a meditative state, Zhi Hao came to the armory hidden in the Qianlong Residence. with hands shaking with anticipation, he opened the dusty old chest and selected a bow. "If I had to fight them alone," he muttered under his breath, "I would have to pick a head target from a distance with this arrow."

With a deep breath, Zhi Hao imagined himself moving. When he opened his eyes, reality exceeded expectations—he was actually in the room where he was staying temporarily. However, the bigger surprise was, the bow he previously held was still in his grasp, as if refusing to be abandoned.

Qianlong Bracelet, seeming to sense Zhi Hao's astonishment, said in a mysterious tone, "You shouldn't be too surprised. there are many other wonders that you have not yet uncovered from this ring." The sound of the Qianlong Bracelet flows gently, as if dancing in the air.

In the middle of the dark and silent night, Zhi Hao took his smooth, soundless steps. He used the Lightning Technique, a secret method contained in the Heaven Crushing Scripture, allowing him to move without making a single sound.

The dark and silent atmosphere adds mystery to its movements hidden in the dark.

Zhi Hao arrives at the Wi Dung residence, a remote and rarely visited place. When he entered the courtyard, Wi Rang, the dashing guardian tiger, suddenly growled. His instincts as a wild animal were triggered by the uninvited presence of humans. However, when their eyes met, Wi Rang recognized Zhi Hao. His feelings changed from alert to calm.

“Wi Rang, can you take me to the Fu Clan?” Zhi Hao asked gently while stroking the big tiger's head.

wi Rang, who now felt relieved and familiar with Zhi Hao's presence, lowered his body, giving a signal for Zhi Hao to climb on his back.

That night, the two of them glided through the darkness, leaving the Wi Dung residence for the Fu Clan.

That night, the sky above the Fu Clan was dark and heavy with the promise of bloodshed. The candlelight from the stockade illuminated the tense but determined faces of the advancing troops.

Fu Tao, their leader, stood at the front of the line with a straight posture and eyes burning with resentment.

"Remember," said Fu Tao in a firm and deep voice, "our mission tonight is not just to attack, but to destroy. The Wi clan must feel what they have done to our sister, Fu Yao."

The cold night wind hit the warriors' faces as they nodded firmly, understanding the task at hand. one of them, a young man with a serious face and a hand already used to a sword, stepped forward slightly.

“Patriarch,” his voice was low but clear over the howling wind, “what about Wi Dar, elder of the Wi Clan?”

Fu Tao stared at the young man, his eyes radiating deep hatred but also calculation. "Wi Dar must not be touched. He is the only one we must let live," he answered in a tone that showed no room for rebuttal. “Take him, but make sure he doesn't die.”

"Understood, Patriarch!" shouted the young man, his voice echoing among the fortress walls, followed by nods from the other warriors.

a signal was given, and with unison, the Fu Clan troops began to move, leaving behind the fort that had been a silent witness to their carefully laid plans of retaliation.

They drove into the darkness of the night.

In the middle of the quiet and overcast journey, a shout echoed through the silence, “Patriarch, there is a message!” The scream seemed to convey urgent bad news.

Wi Zhong, who was sitting upright on his warhorse, frowned, as if he felt the wind carrying the scent of bloodshed.

"Read it!" he ordered in a firm and authoritative voice, stopping the entire group consisting of loyal guards and several advisors.

The guard who had shouted earlier, while still panting for breath, held out a tightly sealed letter. He opened the seal and read out the contents of the letter in a trembling voice, "Wi Village has been attacked by the Fu Clan, please return the Patriarch quickly!"

Hearing that, Wi Zhong's face paled for a moment, then flushed with anger. "That bastard Fu Tao looked for opportunities in my absence. He's crazy! Quicken the pace!” he shouted, his voice containing a mixture of anger and despair.

Without waiting any longer, he spurred his warhorse, leaving dust billowing in his wake. His bodyguards and advisors quickly followed, matching the patriarch's pace, forming one long line swiftly across the path.

"Yes Patriarch," they said in unison, their voices full of determination, knowing that every second was precious and the fate of Wi Village depended on their speed.

At a quiet intersection, Zhi Hao felt the wind rustle through his hair, at that moment, the Black Tiger named Wi Rang let out a loud, resounding growl.

"What's wrong, Wi Rang?" Zhi Hao stroked the tiger's head gently. However, Wi Rang only mumbled incoherently. Zhi Hao was anxious, his eyes following Wi Rang's gaze, who was fixated on the darkness in front of them, as if aware that there was danger lurking.

“Use Spirit Power to probe the surroundings! Only then can you know where the attack will come from!” a mysterious voice that Zhi Hao assumed came from the bracelet on his wrist, Qianlong, infiltrated his mind.

Despite his doubts, Zhi Hao entrusted his fate to that whisper. Taking a deep breath, he gathered all the spiritual power that he had been training as a continuation of honing his physical strength. With full concentration, Zhi Hao's Spirit power spread out in all directions, scouting out the invisible enemy approaching in the silence of the night.

At that time, Zhi Hao felt the movement of quite a large army, he couldn't determine how many there were. But it's definitely quite a lot.

Zhi Hao jumped onto the tree and prepared for the scenario at hand. “Damn it, they actually attacked first. if I stop them here, it would be the same as giving up my life. Then what should I do?”

Previously he planned to use the Halimun Technique and shoot only the strong people in Fu Village. But now that plan has to be dashed, just evaporated because of the changing situation.

Black tiger, Wi Rang, comes home at Zhi Hao's previous request.
